This is my point.

I repped everybody in this thread except the ones who didn't get it.

I actually wrote a paper in an undergraduate economics class where I argued that pro athletes aren't overpaid - they're paid based on the demand for what they produce. As long as people are willing to buy $150 nike jerseys, and $120 per game for tickets.... and as long as advertisers are willing to pay $3million for a singel 30-second Super Bowl ad... than I'd say these players are being paid just about right... and when you consider how much the owners are making, one could make the argument that pro athletes don't make enough.

I think if you're the best in the world at something that is in-demand, you should be able to be a millionaire and not have to act humble about it.

Hear, hear.

I avoid the WRP forum like the plague... not because I don't have political opinions - hell I have BAs in political science, international relations, and financial economics , and I'm doing an MBA in managerial economics- but I avoid that forum because a. people take that **** WAY to seriously and aren't even cordial about their disagreements, and b. 80 percent of the stuff that is in there is either illogical, misinformed, and just downright disrespectful.

Think of all the poor and disenfranchised people who must do without because of Tom Brady's wealth hoarding. What a monster.

Brady the Butcher shows off his protective yet fashionable footwear that he wears while stomping on the hopes and dreams of the 99 percent.

But I would be happy - no matter how much money I'd be making - if I were to wake up to any of the following every morning: Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Samantha Barks, Christina Hendricks, Petra Nemcova - really any on the SI models, lol, but Petra especially....

Oh and I really have a thing for Jennifer Lawrence right now, too... she just reminds me of a female version of myself: ADHD, left-handed, bullied in HS, doesn't give a **** and just goes out and pursues her dream.

He's the greatest QB ever, yet his wife's earnings triple his. That's gotta affect him, probably prompted this to some degree. If your wife earned $50 million a year, you'd pretend money doesn't matter all that much too.

But Swedish is right ... if you create wealth, you should be paid accordingly.

Don't mind him making his money or his choice of house - he does whatever he wants and I could care less. But I could never live in a house that big!

I have a hard time finding anything in my apartment as it is - it would take me 10 hours to find it in a house that big.

Does Brady talk about his money? I have no issue what he said. His house doesn't talk. He doesn't invite photographers over or have MTV do their "Cribs" show while people are struggling. I think you are reaching here Smurf.

Apparently, Shanny is letting Manning stay in his home until he finds/builds his own.

That's just silly.
