Sorry, but 2-1 only guaruntees home court, not the 3 seed. While we have the tiebreaker on both Memphis and LA, if we go 2-1 and the other 2 win out it would be a 3 way tie record wise, and the Clippers would win that tiebreaker, since they're a division winner. If we have the same record as the Clips, they have the tiebreaker as division winners. Hochman explains it here.

Nugs still need to win out.

Hochman skipped over what happens if the Nuggets and Clippers have the same record. He went from the Nuggets have the best record to the Clippers have the best record. It was my impression that the Nuggets hold the tie-breaker that results in home court based on head to head results with the Clippers. I'm concerned only with home court advantage in the playoffs, not seeding.

Having re-read what he wrote, he said that the seeding doesn't necesarily matter when it comes to home court. The Nuggets could be the lower seed and still have home court. Which is what we've always known.

Yeah you're right about home court. But we really need the 3rd seed. We need that matchup with either Golden State or Houston. It would be much better and easier to get that than a first round matchup with the Grizzlies, followed by a matchup with a rested Thunder or Spurs team, who will IMO sweep the Lakers or Jazz. We need a 4 or 5 game first round series, not a grueling 7 game series against the Grizzlies.

Just take care of business. Portland today, Milwaukee tomorrow, and Phoenix Wednesday. They can do that.

clearly the NBA is fixed, and didn't want the nuggets team of no-stars to make it to the finals.

All jokes aside, Hope Faried is ok. Seems to be an ankle injury, and unless he broke the ankle it won't be season ending...

Whew!!! Left ankle sprain, X Rays negative, and he's day to day.

Keep him out until next week. He won't be available tomorrow and we really won't need him against Phoenix.

depending on the severity of the ankle sprain he might miss more than a week or two. It sounds like his is pretty severe. Grade 2-3 sprains can take a month or more to get healthy. Either way he won't be 100% for the rest of the season+playoffs.

They never said what grade of sprain it was. Just said it was a sprain and he's day to day.

Way back when I was 17 I remember spraining my ankle and it felt like I'd never walk again. Within a week I was putting full pressure on my ankle and within 2 weeks it felt completely normal. That was with absolutely no treatment, and not going to a doc. So we'll see. Hoping for the best.

Next man up Anthony Randolph scores 18 in 20 minutes on 6-9 shooting. Guys off the bench are incredible. Fournier having a really good game, too.

Hope to hell Faried doesn't miss more than a week or so.

C'mon Nugs. Ty has showed some good quickness on spin moves and drives. Good to see.

Sweet three for Fournier. That might do it.

Quit ****ing fouling.

Just got back from The Can. Weird game. Maybe because it was a matinee! Really sucks about Manimal, obviously.

Fournier is like, good.

Grew quite a few gray hairs after that one. Don't care now, a win is a win is a win. Take out Phoenix and the 3 seed is ours.

Yeah every time I think the 3 seed is locked up I have to remind myself that Washington swept us this year. Hope like hell they take care of business and that game is boring in the 4th quarter.

I really don't want to see OKC in the second round so hopefully denver locks up the 3rd against a crappy phoenix team.

Fournier shouldn't have hammered ellis like that on the three. Could have cost them the game.
