Really happy for CBJ as they get Gaborik. I hope they turn it around, their new GM is a draft genius.

Happy for Minny too, They get Pommer but overpaid. They only should have gave one of Larsson/1st. Pommer is severely underrated. If Flyers miss playoffs I'm rooting for them.

Must suck to be a Dallas fan, your in the playoff hunt and trade away Jagr, Morrow, and Roy. I do like the returns but when do you actually go for it?

I'd hate to be a Wings fan too. I hope Datsyuk leaves for Russia next year. They don't deserve him.

Don't know what to think about Bishop for Conacher trade.... That one shocked me. I think Conacher is a 55 pt player tops and I have no clue about Bishop. It seems like every goalie the Sens have does good which is the opposite of any Philly goalie.

Oh ya the Flyers get Chris Mason errr Steve... Whatever woohoo..
The Red Wings are rebuilding, it is a testament to the coaching of Babcock that they can remain in contention even while doing it. Not getting Suter in the summer triggered a rebuild.

No reason to throw away picks in a strong draft or prospects to get rental players for a playoff run that doesn't matter. It is not like the team has to make the playoffs because they are finally in the hunt.

It makes so much sene that Seth Jones would play for the Avs. This is possibly the Avs worst season ever, and they could very well have the 1st overall pick in the draft. He grew up in Denver and was mentored by Joe Sakic.

He probably doesn't have an opinion, but you have to think in the back of his mind, Jones wants to play for the Avs.

I guarantee the Avs will grab him if they get a chance.

That's been debunked already from people inside and also media outside the organization. Nice try. You should know better than to rely on a single Philly reporter.

Jones,EJ,Barrie,Elliot,Hejda,Siemens,Hunwick would go a long way towards fixing the issues on D.

plus with Joey Hison back on the ice we have another dynamic C in the pipeline where we can potentially move Stastny in a year or two.

Boom! Erat trade pays off in one game. Despite being tied for the 9th most points in the East, the Caps are now the 3 seed!

That's so sad the SE is that bad this season.

I hope they don't embarrass themselves if they get in. EVERYONE will be disrespecting the "3 seed."

The east has so much parity, that all you have to do is get in and you never know. The game tonight should have never got to OT, way too conservative in the 3rd sitting back on the lead.

I do get the feeling that if they do get in, they will do some damage with everyone disrespecting the SE division "winner"

Toronto would be the perfect 1st round opponent lol

@ Howard Eskin.

As much as I get on the pens and Crosby, Eskin is a tool

edit: If Eskin ends up being right, I'll eat crow but I wouldn't expect Crosby to have a concussion based off that puck to the jaw. If that's the case, he needs to retire.

Same with Jagr. First game with the B's and he scores the only goal of the game. I'll take it! Both goalies were just insane last night.

Should be getting a few guys back healthy in the next week or so for the stretch run. Hopefully Bergeron is among them. We really need him healthy for the playoffs.

They had an interesting stat in the B's game last night with regard to the shortened season/crammed schedule and injuries. B's have only had 5 guys play in every game. They didn't show every team, but I'd be curious to see what the average is right now.

It's been pretty bad league wide. I guess this shortened season is a great counter argument to the people that say "82 games is too many."

162 might be a lot for baseball but in hockey, it's pretty clear guys drop like flies when playing this much hockey in such a short time.

Most teams have missed on average 5 or so guys all the time. A lot of guys are out across the league

philly has used 11 different D men and 4 goalies once mason plays a game, the goalie carousel is nothing new to flyer fans tho

And the entire Rangers team has been suspended for the hit (little known suck up to Mario rule).

It's not funny...it's frustrating that everyone is getting hurt at the worst possible time. It's like it never ends....that's what the lmao was for.

Letang Martin Crosby Neal....and while Geno is back in the lineup he doesn't look like himself.

Yup. Lockouts suck. Even when they're over and we're back to playing games, the effects linger. I almost feel bad for whoever wins it all this year. Even just advancing to the conference finals is going to have an effect on those four teams come next season, given the extra short layoff this summer. Bodies need a real offseason to heal.

Please, 4/6 of our top defenseman haven't played in weeks. Maybe if you guys lose another player, you could get the top pick again. I'm sure Gary could arrange that.

Has the NHL decided on sending NHL players to Sochi next season?

Won't be a true regular season until the 2014-15 season.

Neal deserves it. Maybe he quit being such a dirty player now. He was scum of the earth in that Flyers playoff series last year. He doesn't deserve a concussion but definitely deserved something.

Crosby too. That little sob broke Girouxs wrists in the playoffs too.
http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...e-from-crosby/

The Cindy said he wasn't sorry of course. The Pens deserve everything they get. Of course they don't get suspensions from the league but I don't mind seeing them get hurt at all. Matt Cooke is a piece of trash.

Backstrom is an incredible passer and puck handler. I live watching him. I got Backstrom and Ovey on my fantasy team. They have been just racking up points for me.
