Default Tom Brady likes to be poor?

This pissed me off. I wrote something about this on facebook... but a picture speaks a thousand words. I'll just let this do the talking:

And this:

The little room on the end with the chimney is cozy looking.

I'd donate all my money to charity too if my wife made $60million a year.

I'd rather have an apartment with a space elevator and a time machine than a giant house in the middle of nowhere.

He gets paid what the market will bear, because that's what he's worth. Why should he feel bad for being successful? He makes a mountain of money doing something that only a handful of people on the planet can do. Same for his wife. Their success should be celebrated.

I don't recall anybody complaining when Shanny had this. So why complain when Tom gets his?

Apparently, Shanny is letting Manning stay in his home until he finds/builds his own.

I've got no problem with wealth.

I have a problem with false humility.

I don't think Smurf was complaining about Brady having money. He was pointing out the fact that the quote on the first picture he posted.... is completely belied by the second picture.

Superstar athletes make a ton of money... and Brady isn't an exception. It's only an issue if the superstar claims to not care about the money all that much while living in the lap of luxury. It's the hypocrisy... Tom should just admit that he(obviously) likes having money, whether the money is his or his wife's.

False humility is a conditioned response of our modern times. You are only successful because your success came at the expense and suffering of untold others. You didn't build that.

F that. Tom Brady is the American dream personified. Live it up Tom. Roll up hundred dollar bills, stick them in your ears, light them on fire, and make it rain on your supermodel wife. You earned it.

Yeah he is always taking pay cuts for the team. I mean it's not like he doesn't make a boat load of money, but he never tries to be the highest paid player in the league every year. I think that's what he's talking about.

Sort of hard to pull the "it's all about winning" card when your ****ing house has a moat.

Perhaps the ostentatious house is his wife's doing? For some reason I get the feeling she pretty much tells him what to do and he agrees. Quite honestly I wouldn't be surprised if she routinely sodomized him with a strap-on.

If so, he must like it.... 'cause he sticks around.

Bingo - a close relative of False Humility is White Guilt. "I must be a racist, or at least be a bigot because I'm white". Wrong. The race-baiters (Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Toure, etc.) would be unemployed if they stopped tying EVERYTHING to race, and how blacks are discriminated against ALWAYS by EVERYONE. Seriously, how is the democrat party doing on creating jobs for ANYONE, regardless of their skin tone? Let's go color blind - I wouldn't care what color you are if you would just quit bringing it up. Please.

**** the "American dream". People should be free to chill out and not be productive all the time. Maybe then they'd be able to actually focus on the real dream often referred to as either happiness or contentment. Wanting may be a driver of economic growth but more often than not it will lead to anxiety and lost years in a finite life span.

Or maybe I've just been enjoying myself too much on five dollars a day in Berlin.
