Default Tiger Woods back to #1 - how many majors does he win this year?

We've all seen the controversial discussion, is he back. Some say he is, some say he's not.

While he has not won a major for 5 years, he's now back to #1 in the world rankings. He's got 3 wins already in this short 2013 season.

How many majors does Tiger win this year?

I'm going to say he wins 2, and one of those will be the Masters. Calling it.

He will win the Masters and the Portland Invitational. So I count two.

He'll win 1 major at most.

I'm still not convinced his new swing will hold up in a major. I hate what Sean Foley's done to Tiger's swing, and don't expect it to be as good when there's real pressure on it.

It's hard to say because he always plays the courses well that he has won on this year. He played them well even when he was struggling overall. With that being said he looks like he has his game back and is primed for a master's victory and either brittish open or US open depending on where they are played(I haven't checked).

yah, so Tiger is the best of the inconsistent field. What changed for Tiger? His father died and he went party animal. He's got no strong male guidance, he's got no mentors or men to look up to. He's got his party pals and his yes men, and a whole lotta p***Y hanging around. I've heard he's trying to get back with his ex wife and you have to ask why? I think it's because he wants his old life back, the life before his father passed away. He's been a rudderless ship since that day and his golf swing changes are a manifestation of this (along with his inconsistent play). He never needed a new golf swing, he needed someone who would call him an his bs. I think his old coach was kind of that guy and Tiger fired him (but I'm guessing here).

He's still the media darling because he knows exactly what to say. His interview ability is top notch, he knows how to definitely play the public image game. However, I'm guessing his personal life is still a mess and until he gets that stabilized, I just don't think the old Tiger will show up. The media wants it for sure, but it won't happen until he grows up.

US Open - Merion (PA)
British Open - Muifield (Scotland)
PGA Championship - Oak Hill (NY)

Merion is going to make most of the field look silly. That course is brutal. Oak Hill is much more groomed.

Why do you think his personal life is still a mess? It seems that has stabilized with Vonn.

Lindsey Vonn is gonna stabilize his life? She's just another piece of ass for him. Once she pisses him off, she gone too.

I could care less about his personal life. What I do see is a great start to this year. While players like rory and Phil aren't even making cuts.

Well Tiger and Snedeker are the 2 hottest players this year so far but I'm not sure why you think Phil's off the radar. He's got a win this year and another top 10 and is 5th in FedEx Cup points. I wouldn't write him off yet. He always plays good on the west coast swing and then goes into coast mode before the majors start.

you don't loan your private plane to ensure she can get immediate medical treatment after severely injuring herself if she's just a piece of ass.
he's always been the type where when his private life is stable he gets in a zone.
when his father was alive and when he first got married he was on point.
as his personal life went in the ****ter so did his game.

since he's been with Vonn he seems to be getting back to that place where there's Tiger and then there is everyone else who is severely below him.

2 possibly three the way he is putting right now. He really came back a different player. Better on the greens and with the short irons and maybe not always going for the crazy tee shot every time. He's been deadly from inside 150 yrds and on the greens. Bay Hill was an exhibition on how to putt by Tiger.

2. The Masters and the US Open. I'm just happy he is "back", the PGA is sooo much better when he is good.

at this thread. Tiger won at courses where he is all time great. These wins mean absolutely nothing. With that said, he has a major or two left in the tank and I think he gets one this year.

DOH - kinda looks grim for Tiger winning a major this year. Wow. I for sure thought early in the year when he was playing so well he was going to win one. There is still the PGA but it could easily be another year in which Tiger fails to win a major.
