He was acting like a primadonna whiner before he left. I've been saying for a couple days to throw him out. The guy has turned into a bitter locker room cancer. We don't need that crap.

The Ravens need some horrible attitude to fill in the negative karma missing from the murderer leaving. Good move by them

What a way to stick it to Denver. Go to the only other team willing to pay you your outrageous asking price

Phillips, Freeney, Abraham are all flawed players at this stage in their careers. I just don't want to bet on the pony that's the longest in the tooth.

Ideally I would have wanted Osi + Draft Pick at DL but I think he's a sure bet to sign in Atlanta.

Freeny is washed up. I think Urlacher has a good season left in him. PLUS: I feel there is quality depth at MLB in Irving and Johnson if Urlacher does not make it.

Super lame. Now the Broncos have to draft DE in the 1st round, otherwise have a liability at RDE.

Forget drafting an SS who can guard TE's.

Forget drafting a stud MLB.

Can't believe the Broncos couldn't match $7M per year.

DE will probably be BPA at #28 (by far) anyway, so oh well.

Freeney is not horrible!

2yrs ago, he was all the Colts had. He took on double teams the entire season and was injured. He still got 8.5 sacks as the pathetic Colts won 1 game that year.

Last year, they get new coaches...and make him play OLB in a 3-4....and they didn't call his number very much. A lot different then putting your hand in the dirt and firing out at the Tackle. Freeney is known for his fist step...not so easy as an OLB.

Freeney is good for 10 sacks in Orange and Blue. Sign him and then draft a young DE to compete with Ayers, Wolf, Beals, and Jackson!

Move on....won't even miss him!

Nice! I just became a Dumervil fan!

You guys don't want Shaun Phillips. He was rated one of the worst OLB in the league last year but you don't even need to read that if you watched him play. He doesn't have much left in his tank, just like all the other old pass rushers still without a job. Best bet would be to draft one but unfortunately, it's not a strong draft class for pass rushers this year or go get Abraham. He doesn't have much left in the tank either but his window is pretty much the same as Peyton's.

There is only so much roster space available and you also have to draft to replace Doom and/or the 1-2 rentals you propose. We can't afford two roster spots for situational players and still keep other players on the roster.

That is why I'd rather see Abraham at 3-4 mill than Freeney at 1-2 since he can play more than third and long passing situations, and is effective against the run.

Sorry to see Doom go, but not if he has a "tude" . And he will never see that "up to" 35 million playing for a gutted Rat bird defense. My bet is they release or trade him in two years , three Max when Flaccos contract goes ballistic.

Bye bye Dumervil. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way to Baltimore. Good health, and no pro bowls for you.

Now the Broncos will be forced to draft the best DE at #28:

Damontre Moore
Alex Okafor

Signing a player like Freeney or Abraham would be a major waste of cap space.

they aren't forced to do anything in the 1st round of the draft, and how would signing either of those guys be a waste of cap space?

Meh, he sucked against the run anyway. I'm surprised I care as little as I do.

So out of 123 MM + Denver is force to draft for need in the first round and jepordize the future all for $4MM in cap room.

Rober Ayers is a first round pick at #18 overall and I guess he's not the answer but a DE at #28 is.

Not buying it. Need is a terrible talent evaluator no matter the circumstance.
