I would be OK with either of those DEs, however I don't view Amerson as a 1st round CB.

This would be the haul that I would like. Whomever we take with the 7th...won't matter much anway. I could see all 5 of these guys contributing right away.
This isn't Madden. If you think Manti, Cyprien and Swope are going to be 2nd, 3rd and 5th round selections. . . LMFAO.

I dont quite understand the rush of people now claiming we need to draft a pass rusher. We can afford to go BPA, and my guess is its best possible defender. I know a lot want a CB, but im not sure how much room on this team there is for one unless you wanna drop Carter or Boldin.

it mostly has to do with pairing Von up with a long term partner who can force his own double teams and allow one or the other to wreak havoc in a one on one.

as far as CB goes, i don't see it happening.
we have depth and just signed DRC. i think the first three rounds are all about RB,DL & LB or S.

Well considering doom wasn't long for this team no matter what, DE may have been in consideration anyway. I don't think this changes the draft plan

i wanted a DE in the top 3-4 rounds regardless so this just makes it easier to want in the first or 2nd.
a lot of talent is falling and our picks put us in great to take a impact player.

Yeah, I'd like a front seven guy too. I won't cry over safety. Corner doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but whatever, just get me a weapon

Udated due to the doom:

1.(#28) Desmond Trufant CB, Washington (honestly, probably gone before 28)
2.(#58) John Jenkins, NT, Georgia (almost definitely gone before 58)
3.(#90) Jon Bostic, MLB, Florida (ok, this is duable but again, he's fast so maybe not)
4.(#125) Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina (I doubt he's here for the taking)
5.(#161) Josh Boyce, WR, TCU (due to speed, I doubt he's here)
7.(#234) Quanterus Smith, DE, Western Kentucky (this guy has the measurables)

So yah, maybe the Broncos get one of these guys, but even if that happens, I doubt the Broncos get him where I have him placed in this pretend draft.

With the addition of DRC I don't see them picking a CB in the 1st.

If Trufant is there at #28, I don't see how the Broncos can not take him. DRC has been a problem child on every team he has ever played for, he's notorius for not making the tuff tackles when needed. He's talented but he's like Deion Sanders with about 1/3 of the talent.

That's because Amerson's not good.

I would love for trufant to be there. But the chances he's there at 28 are about as slim to none. No way he drops that far. They'd have to trade up

I think the Broncos will draft bigger a bigger corner in the draft. They want to mimic the Seahawks secondary.

What about DJ Hayden? Moved up to #3 in Mayock's rankings.

On 10/18/1992 I left my wedding to go to the other part of the place, to see Elway lead the Broncos over the Oilers! ONE OF ELWAYS GREATEST COMEBACKS! So I give you permission!

If the Broncos select DJ Hayden with their first pick. . .

Not only will I flip out more than I did last year, I will probably end my life.

I like this scenario too. I love the idea of Fluker at RT and Franklin at G. Trade Beadles or keep him as depth. Problem is, I don't think Fluker will be there at #28.

. . .

Why would the Broncos draft a guy who is a RT only when they just signed Vasquez (RG) and Franklin's best fit (if he doesn't play RT) is RG? Franklin played LG at Miami too, but there is a reason he is on the right side of the line in the NFL. Drafting an OT in the first round would be an absolute retard move. The only reason Doc Bear wrote this article is because the dude has verbal diarrhea and likes to hear himself talk.

Christ.

While I would love it, it's going to take a miracle for Arthur Brown to fall to us. He would be a great leader, though...both in the locker room and on the field....

I don't see us taking anything BUT a defensive player, in the first round. I would love to have Tavon Austin, but, as an earlier poster said, he doesn't fit in our current scheme. We don't even need him as a return man, with Holliday on the roster...

He's my favorite defensive player in this draft and I think he fills a pretty glaring need for us in a couple of capacities; his ability on the field and his emotional leadership.

Everyone says Trufant won't be there at 28, I want him anyway

Trufant or Hankins ... Go safety in round 2.
