I guess he was offended in principal by the inequity of it all. Kudos on taking a stand. Didn't seem to bother him when he was the second highest paid player in the entire NFL last year & nowhere near the second best player.

Yup, people questioning the Ravens need to stop and realize they have one of the best FO's in the league. They know what they're doing.

I'm not so sure with that Flacco contract.

Broncos moving on trying to get Freeney signed.

Mike Klis ‏@MikeKlis 16m

Dwight Freeney is the Broncos' first choice to replace Elvis Dumervil. Again, Freeney a Tom Condon client.

time to draft a DE in the first two rounds. Moore,Werner,Okafor,Montgomery,Carradine,Jones. or just screw it and trade up for Jordan.

I can't help but think that Tom Condon is in some room right now jerking off. He got exactly what he wanted.

I honestly don't think the Broncos will be that affected if they can sign Freeney or Abraham and draft someone, and either one of the young guys they already have or the draftee needs to progress to fill the spot. I think it is highly doable, and a fraction of the salary commitment.
Also, Dumervil is likely more on the decline. He isn't getting any younger, and is more likely to lose some speed that will hurt his game since that is what he relies on the most.

I hope we don't over pay for Freeney..

With Abraham, Osi, Phillips, Harrison, Idonije all out there and productive pass rushers in their own right. Not to mention some are stout against the run, and all could excell seeing one on one matchups that they will face here in Denver.

Bingo. How this went down, I cannot wear his Pro Bowl shirt until maybe he retires or just let it collect dust. His agent ****ed this up and didn't make good. May he realize his horrible decision and watch the Broncos take the SuperBowl trophy while he is a year late with the Ravens.

Another name who is stout againt the run with pass rush is Kyle Vandenbosch. He would be dirt cheap too.

I don't think he can find it, and that's a good thing.

So now it's all played out. Finally. Thanks for the service Doom. I wish you good health but not success now that you're no longer a Bronco. Things just didn't work out, mostly thanks to your lame ass agent.

So moving forward - I guess yeah, you would like to bring in Abraham, who had 10 sacks last year. I also think this is going to be a huge chance for former 1st round pick Ayers to really step up and make his mark. If he can't beat out Abraham this coming season, he'll never be a starter ever. Time for him to bring it.

I get tired of people saying this. He was used last year just like he will be in Baltimore and that is to rush the passer. 3-4 or 4-3 under he has very similar concepts and responsibilitys. People get too caught up on 3-4 or 4-3.

No thanks. I saw plenty from this guy. He's nothing special at all. In fact, at this stage, he's quite average. I think you could get the same production from a drafted rookie.

What about Freeney and Phillips together?? Probably still less than Doom and maybe just as productive? Or Abraham and Phillips. I like what Phillips brings more than the others IMO

Woohoo, well I hope Von Miller can still get in the pro bowl with 11 sacks, at least it won't be a total loss then.
