With woman's rights now should it still be woman and children first or just children first ?

If i was on a sinking ship and it was between my wife and I she would go but if it was some Lucy I did not know then why should I have to give up my seat if we have equal rights ?

How do you all fill on this subject ? Am I just an a-hole ? or do I have a valid point.
Why you would not try to save every one before yourself is a better question.

For coffee, who cares who pays? Its just coffee. But if its a week in mexico, whoever makes the most $ should then fork over a larger share of the cost, which is covered under the "asking first" doctrine.

Their is still a man and woman in gay relationships.

Because 90% of the people I meet are a-holes.

Here's a question: If a guy asks a girl out on a date to try and sleep with her, if she says yes fully aware of his intentions but with no intention of allowing him to, is she obligated to inform him?

I'd love to be able to say I would 100% be down with letting the women go first but part of me would be all for just screaming and running for the nearest lifeboat.

Then again, as far as epic deaths go, going down with the ship is pretty cool. Not "fist-fought with a tiger" or "died fighting the alien hordes" cool but still, not bad.

lol...

no, not at all. this isn't a financial exchange it's human interaction. I will say that if the girl knows the guy well enough and wants to avoid an uncomfortable situation (especially in the case that the guy is somewhat of an a-hole) when he expects to "cash in" then she'd probably be well advised to turn down the date but to call it an obligation seems silly. That view seems to stem from the vantage point of a male attempting to maximize his efficiency and completely discounts the free will and personal interests of the potential woman.

if you want to talk about fairness of exchange, it sort of goes back to asking your friends out to dinner. You don't expect anything of them other than their company so I think that if the girl accepts the invitation and offers her company for the duration of the planned date then he has been fairly compensated for his efforts.

Besides, it's never the money or the setting, or the food that get most girls in bed. To varying degrees it probably has much more to do with his charm, charisma, friendliness, how interesting he is, and how he can hold a conversation and keep things lively and how those effects interact with many dynamic characteristics of the girls current state of being.

i'll say one thing about "now that women have rights in this country."

There is a big difference between having rights and experiencing equality. While women are about equal in education (overall) and health, they are way, way behind in financial and political power.

This is mostly due to their tiny brains and lack of athletic ability.

I would even toss a couple babies out of a life raft for me and any of my close friends. Old ladies also. It's all about taking care of your own. I jest I jest I would not throw them out. You could be on the water for a long time and need food. Sun roasted baby is probably tender and old lady meat I heard falls right off the bone.

The saying Women and children doesn't mean what you think it does. It actually comes from a saying that when you run out of food, or your in a life or death situation, its always easier to throw out or eat the women and children first. They are easier to kill and far tastier.

If you pay for the first three dates and she never takes you out... Find someone new to date.

It is unwritten law so you don't need to follow it. I would jump ship with my family but take the ladies kids and as I am being led down on the row boat, I would yell, "Don't worry. I will take of them for you."
That should be sufficient to not feel guilty. Kids need a father figure around the house or they become big, major pussies.

Women used to be important to a community's ability to function. Men are disposable, a baby-baker ain't. Nowadays that is no longer important, but we still carry that fire. Or, at least try to. Some feminists have been working hard to end any notion of chivalry.

Those are the ones I want to stand at the Bow and yell this while the ship is going down. Then I want to see if they can fly while I toss them off the ship to increase my chances of getting in that rowboat.

We don't need women to make babies anymore?
