If this is the most trouble Carter gets into we'll be fine.

I think its stupider that this is a felony than anything. I dont know the payout on what he was trying to do, but it couldn't have been that high

this whole story is just so sad and really embarrasing IMHO. Carter is definitely gonna lose out financially with this little flake fest. He's probably gonna have to pay his lawyer $50-80k alone for this little stunt in the desert.

If they don't make the penalty severe then the casinos would have a real problem with crime. They make it severe to insure the integrity of the games. Otherwise people would say hell the dealers could be on the take because cheating at the games isn't a felony. Or the guy next to you is cheating etc etc.

Why not make it a felony its very easy to not commit the act of cheating at a casino.

There are all kinds of dumb felonies. This one is about on par with tampering with the mail.

If he comes in and plays like he did last year and not get injured this won't even be blip on the radar.

You do realize he could be sentenced to a year in prison over this, right? What's the NFL going to do? 8 games? A season? Las Vegas takes this **** seriously.

The casino will love this type of move as it is easy money for them. Carter was ripping them off 5 dollars at a time and now they will settle out of court for 1000 bucks. What a dip**** Carter is getting in this trouble for 15 dollars. Open your wallet you cheapskate.
