I completely disagree with the rule but I can see where it came from... There are so many penalties on the defensive player called where he goes to tackle the runner and the runner lowers his head to brace for contact and it ends up being a helmet to helmet shot. So many times I've been sitting there watching a player get a penalty for helmet to helmet hit and I'm saying to myself "He brought his head down to his level!"

yeah, it is easy.

They just don't want RBs to lead with the crown of their helmet when they break into the open and are getting ready to get tackled.

This rule means nothing to me. Its not going to change my game experience like the stooopid kickoff rule.

All you supposed football experts should understand that leading with the crown of the helmet is bad technique. Like Fischer said, it is obvious. "See what you hit" is what I tell my players. Every coach knows this, at least every one who has a care for player safety and sportsmanship. This is a good rule, pull your heads out.

We can't pull our heads out. Pulling your head out has been deemed unafe by the commish! Once head inserted you have to leave it in.
