Right?!? "Those guys really suck! They keep losing Super Bowls!"

I hate the Pats but they're in the mix every year! There's something to be said for that. It's hard to get to the Super Bowl, let alone win it. Broncos this past season are a perfect example.

Wow it didn't take KC long to respond to this..

If Denver has Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker, would make sense for KC to have Sean Smith, Dunta Robinson and Brandon Flowers.

Great, it's gonna be such a huge battle for the AFC West crown.

I'm not worried about that as much. Reid had who in Philly?

How is Welker supposed to drop passes in the playoffs while Peyton is throwing interceptions?

Their still toast! Flowers can't check DT. Smith might be able to check Deck. Robinson would to be toasted by Wes!

I was reading through some of the posts on here from the other day ... and this one was epic ... I probably enjoy it even more because I bought a Ford Probe from one of his dealerships back in the day.

Interesting: Welker contacted the Broncos, not the other way around.

I wonder if this implies that he "knows Tom Brady made him the success he is and the only other QB that can keep him successful is Manning" - or something like that.

probably more along the lines he wants to win and Denver has a team built to win now.

He caught 111 passes from Matt Cassel in 2008. So...no.

Chiefs defense is looking pretty good IMO but i would take DRC over the cbs Chiefs signed. He's been up and down but he has more ability then Robinson or Smith.

Hard not to get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs every year when you play in the AFC East, home of the mighty Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets. None of of those teams have even had an average NFL Quarterback in the last 20 years.

It also helps when the refs are in your pocket, and make up new rules, while throwing a flag every time your QB gets touched (Tuck rule, no hitting below the knees, etc.).

Or the fact he didn't trust the Pats and wants to stick it to them? Some Pat fans are stating there are stories coming out that Amendola was actually signed on Tuesday.

Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has avoided making comparisons between Peyton Manning and the guy who used to throw Welker passes in New England, but that doesn’t mean he won’t talk about what it’s like to play with Manning.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Welker overflows with compliments when he does. We may be in the dark about whether Welker thinks Manning or Tom Brady is the better quarterback, but Welker left no doubt that he’s found Manning to be every inch the quarterback he used to watch the Patriots defense try to beat.

“It’s everything you thought,” Welker said, via the Broncos website. “The balls are just so accurate and you come out of your break and the ball is just there. It’s almost like a long handoff sometimes. He definitely makes it easy on you.”

Having a quarterback that makes life easier for you isn’t the only thing that’s contributed to a smooth transition from New England to Denver. Manning says the Broncos have taken things from tape that the Patriots did with Welker and installed them into their own playbook, something that only adds to the feeling that the Broncos offense is poised for a big 2013 season with the Manning-Welker connection playing a prime role.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...artner=ya5nbcs

Welker said the transition has been smooth.

And now that he's in orange and blue, he's making sure he does everything he can to help the team finish the year the way it wants.

"I know in Denver we have high expectations and people have high expectations for us," Welker said. "It’s a good spot you want to be in."

Wes Welker has 7 receiving TDs through 5 games - his personal best is 9 for an entire season. The New England Patriots have 7 receiving TDs through 5 games combined - does Tom Brady miss Welker a lot more than Welker misses Brady?

I don't see how Welker could miss him so much. I know they are close friends but Welker was a non-entity within the red zone and that was by design. At least with Manning, if you do your job and make the catches, he will continue to throw to you despite the field position.
