Welker is the only slot WR in the NFL that Chris Harris can't cover. Harris is going to get even better practicing against Welker.
Those guys are going to have a lot of fun going against each other. ![]() The Offense is loaded with 8 Pro-Bowl players (all 11 play at an extremely high level). The Defense probably starts the year with 3 Pro Bowlers. I would be surprised if the first 2 draft picks aren't spent on Defense. DE and Safety are the two deepest positions in the draft. Great job Elway. |

Peyton will win it again. You see, the problem last year is he had his 88 and 87 but he lacked his 83..
Just noticed that- what are the odds? |

Patriots didn't want Welker, he came back to the Pats to see if they'd match 2 years $12m and we didn't want him.
He drops the ball way more than he used to. |

The problem is Welker isn't going to stop Peyton from being a bad cold weather QB or becoming a turnover machine in the playoffs.

I wasn't a fan of this signing until I saw how short and relatively cheap it was. Then it became a no-brainer. PFF ranks it the best signing thus far:
https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...y-deal-grader/ To be fair to NE, they ranked the Amendola signing in the 2nd best category but I think they under-weight his injury issues. Quote:

I'm guessing McDaniels is somehow behind this.
McD: "Hey, Bill! I coached Amendola down in the swampy place, wherever the **** it was, and I'm tellin' ya, Danny is better than Wes! Pull the trigger!" Emperor Belichick: "I wonder if your feelings on this matter are clear, Lord Josh?" McD: "They are clear, my master." Emperor Belichick: "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen." |

Welker apparently turned down significantly more money from the Titans. Remember when some people used to argue that PM wouldn't help attract free agents?!? Yeah, you know who you are...

If the pats didnt want him, Amendola would have signed earlier. Instead, they sign him minutes after losing Welker. And its not like they went in a different direction, they signed a more brittle version of wes. You fail at troll. |

You'd have a point if they went 2-14 after they got caught, but referencing two more super bowls, both games they easily could have won, as some kind of proof that the spygate scandal had anything to do with their success is just dumb. But regardless of that, Clam's (Bob) argument that Welker is **** and the Pats didnt want him back is just as dumb. |

When was the last time a team had 3 WRs who in the previous season combined for 3800 yards? That is right - it has never happened. The 2005 Colts had 3 guys who combined with 3300 yards and 37 TDs and a QB with a huge head in the previous year...... |
