Default Cap Room

With all these signings, does anyone have an idea of where we sit with the cap? We have got to be getting close, these deals have not broke our bank but they have to be adding up. I think we find out Dumervils fate tomorrow, I think he is as good as gone, but who knows at this point. He is willing to restructure or take a pay cut, so if we don't keep him, I hope we can trade him for something.

Keeping Dumervil under current contract: Right now, if the Broncos just cut Mays, Kuper, and sign their draft picks, they are sitting at $139M (which uses up their entire $14M rollove and then some). The Broncos 2014 cap number is astronomical .

Cutting Dumervil: Releasing Dumervil, Mays, Kuper, and signing their draft picks puts them at $131M, and in good shape next year to be able to re-sign all their internal FA's.

It's a safe bet that they are cutting Dumervil, and not signing anyone to replace him. I would bet money that the Broncos draft a pass-rusher at #28.

Mays, Kuper, and I wouldn't be shocked about even Prater ... All most likely casualties to free up some extra cash.

Is doom really going to get more than Avril 2-yr 15 as a free agent? Doubt it. If his agent was smart he would take the pay cut. I see Doom staying after the Avril deal. Then hope manning restructures next season

Relax folks!

Manning has said within the last week (I believe) that he is willing to restructure. Elway knows what he's doing....and we're not done in FA yet. Watch!

Im hopeful Doom restructures at this point. He's gonna lose that money one way or another.

Kuper, Mays, and McGahee could give us some room. Dumervil and Manning are willing to restructure. I'm not overly worried.

Agreed. I'd be shocked if DRC is the last guy we bring in. I think we bring in a safety.

So looking forward to this draft! It'd guarantee we're taking an RB in the first three rounds (at some point)

Cutting Kuper does not save us anything against this year's cap. I bet we keep Kupe and shuffle that line around a bit.

I trolled him on IAOFM because he is banned from every other Broncos forum on the internet. He reports all my posts to those guys. He was mentioning yesterday how he wasn't sure how we were getting all these moves done so I just went with, "TaNahAn Daft DooDLe." and he realized it was me.

His response: "I see Dream is here, probably banned from another forum AGAIN."

How ironic.
