What happens when Stokley goes down? Are you going to take your $20 million investment in Peyton Manning and hamstring him and your super bowl effort by having him throw to a subpar WR? That doesn't make any sense. Give the man some blocking, some weapons, a pass rush rush on defense and get the hell out of the way.

If this happens, Manning will be one happy camper.
I brought up a thread in training camp about all the white people the Broncos had hired and then I was called a racist by the Orangemane scholars.

When I saw "Brady's wife" I thought someone was going to point her out as someone else who's caught hundreds of balls from both Tom and Peyton.

I would rather have Jennings but Welker would be awesome too.

There is no one on the Broncos roster called Stockley.

I'd honestly be more excited if we got Dansby than Welker. We've been inept at MLB since Al Wilson's career was cut short. Imaging how much MORE effective Von and Woodyard would be if other teams also had to account for our MLB.

I also agree with the other poster that said this would hurt New England more than it would necessarily help us.
^ I feel pretty much the same. I don't hate the idea but defense and maybe RB to me are bigger needs. The hurting NE part is good since they may be our primary threat this coming season. But if they go sign Amendola or the like they don't really lose all that much. And they still have Gronk and Gonzalez.

How much would you be willing to pay to know what Tom Brady is audiblizing to, or what other certain players on the Patriots weaknesses are?

Add in that he is probably motivated for some pay back and I think you've got the one guy that can help us get through the Patriot wall that we seem to run into every year here of late

A Welker signing will also probably be the final nail in the Dumervil coffin.

It's funny how there was a thread on signing Welker earlier this offseason and the general consensus was against the idea. Now that it might happen the consensus seems to be going the other direction. This would be an interesting psychology study.

Yeah, definitely could deal with Doom getting released, if it meant Welker getting signed.

At least one that I saw was calling Kraft a cheapskate, so good to see SoCal posts on both boards.

I am hoping he is not some product of the Belicheat/Brady system, ala Cassell, McDaniels.

If we go from tebow to Peyton Manning and Wes Welker within 2 years, all I got to say is that The Duke definitely shoots from the hip.

The guys saying this isn't a great move. Need to Watch the playoff game, we had no middle field threat!! We need a more DYNAMIC slot WR. Do we have other holes? Of course we do but we fill one with welker. I would not invest a lot of money for a FA RB, or MLB. I say we go through the draft. Sign another 1-2 defensive line players as wait for the draft

Fans just won't open themselves up for disappointment. Before Manning scheduled his visit to Denver, Bronco fans wanted to stick with Tebow because they didn't think Manning was a realistic option. Tempering your expectations keeps diehard fans sane, I think.
