DONE.
That would be quite a haul- and sweet as hell. Plus, John Elway WOULD be Exec of the year, next season.

Ed Reed ?

dansbys a stud, watched him out of necessity since all dolphins games are shown here, would be a ridiculous upgrade to the D.
LB core Woodyard dansby miller = winning

I was trying to figure out why your post had a white spot in the middle. I think I figured out why.

He called the front office out...twice last year. Not something that sat well with Philbin. Also his contract. And Ellerbe. He also played hurt and talked a lot about his injury. Miami has doesn't like players talking to the press about their injuries. He is a good player, I just think he isn't what the new regime is looking for.

I would love to see us sign a vet MLB, even the broken down old guy in Chicago would be an upgrade right now.

Honestly. Joe Mays for 4 million or Karlos Dansby for 4.5 or 5? No brainer John Elway.

There should be a plane in route..Nobody expected he would be available, but he was cut purely for money! He is no doubt the best LB available and would be an incredible pick up..

He played in a 4-3 when he first entered the league with Arizona, if I recall primarily at WOLB but with a lot of fronts that effectively had him playing MLB responsibilities. He was then signed by Parcells to be a 3-4 ILB.

He's a very good all around football player who definitely has some gas left in the tank at 31. As a few year stop gap he'd be an excellent signing and I'm sure he'd transition into our system pretty seamlessly.

His combination of pass rush and coverage skills would put some real interesting blitz packages at Del Rio's disposal.

Anybody here who has an inside connection or knows a janitor/fly on the wall.. Please pass the word and create some buzz on Dansby.

If we signed nobody else this offseason after Dansby, I would call this free agency period a success.

I'll talk to the grounds keeper. We are tight.

I'd bring him in. After signing Knighton and having to big boys in the middle, Dansby, Woodyard, and Miller would be able to fly all over the field.

At this rate, looks like safety or WR will be our priorty in the draft.

Have they even said anything yet? After contacting and showing interest in pretty much the entire FA market, I'm a little upset they haven't even tried to reach out for dansby

Instead they're wasting their time looking at Stewart Bradley. Ugh.

I highly doubt they are looking at Bradley as anything more than a depth/special teams signing. Like Kaylore said in the Bradley thread, FA isn't just for starters, people. Plus, I kinda believe Elway when he says they are going to go with Irving at MLB this season, which I'm fine with. Gotta give your draft pick investments a chance sometimes.

Good post, BI. I'm overreacting to Bradley because I'm in the Phila media market and saw both Bradley and Mays take turns failing at MLB for the Eagles. They couldn't get rid of either fast enough and the fans were happy to see them go. We've already seen Mays fail, I don't want to see the same with Bradley. But you're right, if just a depth signing on the cheap then perhaps nothing to get overly excited about. I'm just hoping for an upgrade at the position because I'm skeptical of Irving. He barely got any run at the position last year and now he's going to be the starter? Will have to trust they know what they're doing, but they certainly didn't with Mays.
