Schefter just said on Total Access that asking price is 1st this year and conditional 2nd next year.

Well it appears that the Jets' front office is smoking some of Ryans wacky weed.

I wouldn't say that,if it weren't for revis' history of holding out & threats of holding out, teams would be offering that with no problem.

True, but he does have a history of holding out, and threatening to hold out, not to mention that little issue of the torn ACL.

I don't think Revis is worth all of the trouble it would be acquiring him, then keeping him happy.

HAHAHAHHA well, I thought this story had wings. All the stuff I see does not even hint the Broncos are interested.

The injuries are what would scare me away, and the report of a 1st/2nd that just seems like a lot. If you PAY him, he'll be fine.

He wouldn't be a one-year rental.

Actually read again:

Quote:
Update from Doug 4:13pm ET: Unfortunately, I screwed this one up. Clauses such as the one the Jets gave Revis (waiving their right to use their franchise tag on him) do transfer in a trade. Any team that acquires Revis will either have him for 2013 and lose him to free agency, or they'll have to come to terms with Revis on a longer term deal of their own. Like the Jets, they will not be able to tender Revis.
He is either a 1 year rental, or he gets an insane extension.

What makes you think he wont want to test the market? He is a known cash whore. A team like the Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles would easily outbid our cheap ass FO (and don't come with the we signed PM, every other FA since Mike left has been mid tier at a maximum,... but I love this approach.). And cut champ?... GTFO!

Any deal cut will come with a long term agreement or he won't get traded...good grief.

Namdi cut means you get his contract if you claim him. He will go FA after clearing waivers.

Doesn't Namdi turn automatically into a FA for being a vested veteran?

I just can't see them blow 15 mill on one guy. You could get a lot of other talent for that.

Perhaps if he wasn't coming off a serious injury, it would be worth a look. But you don't give up two high picks and offer a huge new contract to guy limping around after a torn acl.

Guys like Adrian Peterson are exceptions, not the norm.

Revis seems like a risky move but I would be excited nonetheless to have him a Bronco. Especially since we don't know who might fall to us in the first round. Whatever though Elway has got to be better at this then we are. Maybe not though. Maybe he just reads the mane and does what it says.

So many corners on market to be had for less money, sure they are no revis but I would take two quality starters for the same money.

If the options are a kings ransom for Revis or getting a deal on Nnamdi...give me Aso all day. I love Revis and think he'd be an awesome signing but Aso is still elite imo, a far bigger bargain and we'd have enough sense to use him as a press man corner where he is at his absolute best. One good thing about this current regime is that it does common sense very well, unlike the last two.

Nnamdi wasn't fast to begin with. He relied on excellent technique. Now that he's lost a step he can't cover for ****.
