A lot of teams drafting poor prospect fits for their schemes. You guys are slipping.

I considered him at 24, but I was nowhere near as high on him as others even before the combine. Value yes, high bust value even more IMHO. I hate underachievers
Well that is surprising to me considering every respected draft analyst has taken him off their 3-4 OLB boards and moved him to their 4-3 DE boards hinting that he'll have to put on weight to be a starter in this league but what do I know.

Yes to all!
He obviously didn't train for the combine. WAY too much emphasis being placed on combine numbers by Mayock and others.

Moore had 85 tackles, 21 TFL's, and 12.5 sacks as a 20 year old Jr. in the SEC. He had an equally impressive Sophomore year at age 19. The dude has an impressive array of moves and is a flat out baller.

Compare him to Ansah. How old is Ziggy? 24? 25? Margus Hunt? 25? 26? Pitting 25 year olds against 18 and 19 year olds isn't even fair. It's like putting Kevin Durant back at Texas for a year.

i do think your a bit dead on here, horrible combine. im hoping the season performance, and using him like an olb would make sense, i admit this may be a sink or swim pick.

Did he not injure his hamstring recently, or is that an excuse being put out there

Moore's vert is the same as Micheal Jordan.

You can stop reading after the bolded sentence.

If he wouldn't train for the combine to exhibit his talents against his peers when his entire career is hinging on it, why the **** do you think he'll train against the best of the best come Sunday?

I also really like how he lied about it... instead of being honest and saying "I haven't done ****... just relaxing." He says he was disappointed and his #s were way below where he was training... especially on bench. I'm sorry, but bench is never and will never be an exercise that jumps out and just surprises anyone...

He needs a DYNAMIC proday now. Insanely high bust quotient.

He "tweaked" it running his god awful 40.

Kinda like the kid who gives up the TD and just lays there and pretends to be hurt.

I think he's just lazy. Maybe he will slip...

Pretty sure that 48" is an urban legend...

Back when he was playing, I thought it was widely known that Jordan's vert was 36" (that's what I remember). Now, I'm reading it was 48"?...which means he could touch the top of the backboard from a standing position? Don't think so.

I'm betting it was a lot closer to 36". Kobe (an inch taller than Jordan) is listed as 38" vert and he can do all the dunks Jordan could (free throw line etc.).

I don't think it's that big of a leap... I believe he is a top 50 prospect.

which is probably a huge reason why we all passed on him in the 1st round. others have covered it, but if he can't get the motivation to train for what is basically the biggest job interview of his life, how is he going to keep the edge during a long 17 game season?

Probably a full round after he'll actually get selected. Certainly don't see any comparison to Leinart other than USC.

True. Can't be wasting 1st round picks.

Despite some folks taking a while, we are way ahead of schedule, and will probably finish the third round about a week before the comp picks are announced. I don't fancy taking a break that long.

Thoughts?

can we accept the projected picks are going to be reality? what happens if they are not correct? if we assume those are correct, why stop at all and just go projected all the way through?

Doesn't matter to me. He can play. He is my #4 rated WR in this class. Hopkins was my #3.
