Lol. The two exact players I thought would go. 24champ loves UCLA, so that was no surprise. I love Short as a prospect, but I don't think he is the best fit here.

Yeah, I could easily see the argument that he wouldn't fit with what Jack Del Rio and Fox run, but we went BPA on our positions of need and he was quite a ways ahead of the next.

Maybe it's time to change the philosophy a bit. I know us fans have been crying out for some interior pressure for years and Short will bring that.

Probably the most appealing part of this selection for me is what opponents will be facing in the nickle. Miller-Short-Wolfe-Dumervil. Now that is a line-up a lot of teams wont like to see coming after their QB.

12 hours for Houston to pick. 12 minutes for 3 other teams to select.

Yep that was my reason as to why he was at the top of the available list right there. More nickle pressure with a true four man rush. Lacy would have been nice, but I think there are still RBs that are not that far off from him that will be available later on.

Oh, and we made the pick while Mr. Bowlen was changing into his running shorts. That way he couldn't override us finally picking a DT in the first round.

Someone that can really refine him. Like Arians in ARI.
i just think it is hilarious, that had Osweiler, Wilson and probably even Nick Foles come out this season they would be ranked higher than the majority of this class.

Slow? We officially started on Wednesday at 8 AM and we're going to be through the first round early Saturday! Some of you haven't been doing this since we started this years ago! They couldn't even finish two rounds!

That being said, could you have dropped us a priority list on your travel day, O mock draft veteran?

Sigh... There goes Margus Hunt. Before the combine, I was SURE he'd be there for me at pick #48. Nice pick, he has a chance to be something special. If nothing else, he's gonna block 4-5 field goals and extra points a year.

And so ends the first round. Not a QB in sight. Velly interesting. All the top big guys are gone. The OM believes that it starts with the lines.

49ers grab Lacy with 33 pick in the draft. Gore is getting up there and gives then combo of James and Lacy for the future. I should of had that pick with smith trade.
