The Homeland Security Department released from its jails more than 2,000 illegal immigrants facing deportation in recent weeks due to looming budget cuts and planned to release 3,000 more during March, The Associated Press has learned. The newly disclosed figures, cited in internal budget documents reviewed by the AP, are significantly higher than the "few hundred" illegal immigrants the Obama administration acknowledged this week had been released under the budget-savings process. The government documents show that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement released roughly 1,000 illegal immigrants from its jails around the U.S. each week since at least Feb. 15. The agency's field offices have reported more than 2,000 immigrants released before intense criticism this week led to a temporary shutdown of the plan, according to the documents. The states where immigrants were released include Arizona, California, Georgia and Texas. what a joke you know they don't need to do this. If one of these deportees commits a crime its on Obama. |

These are all ones Obama said should be deported. Ones who won't be getting to be US citizens. Why not just be able to say once in awhile something your precious govt does isn't right when a Democrat is in office.

They were release because they can not afford to keep them in detention centers. It cost US about $15K to hold them til trail (DUE PROCESS) vs $1100.00 to put on the ankle bracelets. You know all that wasteful spending that you are b****ing about.

doing things that jeopordize public safety first is all politics. Whats next throw preschoolers out of school on tv? Why not just get with Congress and make a reasonable compromise that doesn't involve another tax raise.

There is no reasonable compromise that Republicans will accept from Obama, the indoctrination and blind faith that they hold in Rand and that bull**** is destroying their ability to reasonable. |

Obama got his income tax raised on the rich, he now has to make some cuts. He wouldn't so we get the sequester. The closing of loopholes should be after along with corp tax reform that includes a new corp tax system for overseas profits.

It's funny how conservatives ignore the fact that had Obama not got his way everybody's taxes would've went up.

Especially corp tax reform to get companies like GE and the oil companies paying some tax on their offshore profits. Right now we demand 35% and that is too high because they had to pay tax in host country. So yes lower corp taxes for offshore companies, then eliminate the loopholes that allow them to offshore all the profits. That way that money comes home, and the govt makes a small % of tax on it. Problem with Obama is he wants to slam dunk win every issue with a huge tax increase on it. |

It's all in the grand scheme of things, 5,000 illegal immigrants running free and all breeding like rats filling the hospitals with babies born in the U.S. These Obamacare babies are all guaranteed to be future democrats, is this a great country or what?

So let's turn that around. Sequester isn't really a spending cut. Its just allowing some of the spending increases since 2008 expire. ![]() You're lucky they didn't cut them all. At the root of this mentality is that all things first belong to government. What they allow you to keep is apparently up to their discretion. |

It's funny how, over and over again, cutthemdown blames Obama for things that are the responsibility of Congress to address.

No, the next thing to jeopardize public safety is a limited amount of people to inspect food products, particularly meat. I find that much scarier than releasing illegal aliens who are primarily working stiffs like the rest of us. DHS is notorious for rounding up the ones that ARE contributing to society. And I fail to see how this is solely Obama's fault. Both sides agreed to these budget cuts if they were to behave like idiots and they have.

So when closing tax loop holes become a bad thing? People hitched about "pork" projects; but tax loopholes are far more of an issue unless you in the pocket of the special interests
