This is what I was scared off and I factored in Lance Briggs being at the tale-end of his career too. With a guy like Ogletree, he could have played ILB or WLB for the Bears. I was absolutely fearful you were going to take him, but give you mad props for taking Austin (and thanks) for passing up Ogletree.

A lot of people are going to go off his Bowl game performance and judge him there, but that is stupid. I also know character concerns are huge, but this guy IS a top 15 talent. He can be an absolute monster and a Pro-Bowl player if he keeps his head on right.

Considering Maulagua and Lawson being starters in FA and the fact that neither really cover well, nor does Burfict, I needed a rangy guy who had speed and athleticism to do that. Ogletree is perfect for it. It also gives me defensive versatility on where I want to play those guys. He can do a lot for the defense.

He was my pick all the way, though I thought maybe I could trade down a bit and get him. I do like a lot of other LB prospects, but none of them on the inside were in my Top 25 besides him -- and since nobody moved up, I had to do what was most logical for the team.

The Bengals are hard to draft for this year considering they have so many high profile players in FA -- about 4 or 5 out of 15 total. So it's hard to try and guess where they will go when nobody has been resigned yet.

Regardless of what anyone says, I'm STOKED with the selection.

Ogletree should be a lot like Burfict who translates great to the NFL and just crushes people.

Except Ogletree and cover and is twice the athlete. I think they would be an absolutely lethal combination. Word is the Bengals want Rey M. back, but he missed like 15 tackles last year and cannot cover. I think they should let him walk.

It's pick #22 now and I still have 5 players in my Top 25, with two being in my Top 20. One of them is the boss we talked about in PM. This early rush of OT's really helped me out. . . and the lack of one position being drafted (actually two) is really pushing quality players down the board! That is why I am considering a trade up back into the first. I doubt I can land a Top 20-25 guy at #37, but I am crossing my fingers I can in the late first. . .

AS THE DRAFT WORLD TURNS WILL RETURN AFTER THIS COMMERCIAL BREAK!

Marvin said that Vontaze will have a shot at MIKE and can play any spot there and it'll just depend on who works out best. From what I've read, they would low-ball Rey with a contract to move him to SAM. That is where he started out there. Part of the reason I took Ogletree is because he and Vontaze can be interchangeable if need be and they can go with who performs best there.

We will see though.

Richardson is a ridiculous steal at 19. Great pick.

I don't get it... What is everyone seeing in this guy that I'm not? All I saw was him getting pushed around and locked up on blocks, not having the strength to get off of them.

He has the strength, do feel he needs more coaching. You do have to keep in mind he was a juco transfer and came out after his Junior Year.

Welp, Keenan Allen was one of the guys I had in my Top 20 that I would have made a move for. Looks like those wanting to trade down need to pray that the next guy is there or the Bengals are standing pat.

Jesse was one of my options for a pick at 34. Oh well.

Indy just drafted a NT from Alabama in Josh Chapman who was injured and they gave time to heal..

Williams did play some 3-4 DE, I'm just not sure schematically how that would work and that might be Meds thoughts.
