I just am not a huge fan of Geathers. He doesn't play with particularly great leverage.. I just prefer a NT who can push the pocket..Maybe he can be refined..?

I wasn't making a big deal of it, just wondering why people so down on Te'os 40 time when he basically did the same thing as Minter. I shouldn't have mentioned it.

Teo is better than Minter in coverage. I realize that they have the same 40 time, but that doesn't always equate to coverage skills.

Well, in that case the gap is not nearly as wide as his analogy, but Lacy >>> Te'o as an overall prospect. That much I definitely agree with.

You know what, I actually believe Te'o.

I was thinking last night how drained that dude has to be after reading that he interviewed with 20 teams. One interview would be draining, let along a press conference, 20 interviews, bench press...


...and on top of that he lost 15 lbs. leading training for the combine., plus interviewing every other day to explain the hoax, and BCS Championship.

I was referencing the game, not the total body of work.

Lacy was beating Te'o around the edge by 10 yards. Te'o looked drained with no explosion, kind of like he looked today.

He needs to quit eating skittles for dinner, or something...

They know that Moore **** the bed @ Baltimore, Bailey is getting old, Adams was a stop-gap, Carter had microfracture surgery and Porter is gone and scrambled brains in the noggin.

Playmakers @ CB/S is a huge need for this team and not many people have been advocating for their selection.

I honestly think we come out of this draft with a S and a CB -- probably in the top 4 rounds.

Teo reminds me, buildwise and athleticismwise of urlacher. Maybe not young urlacher that played safety, but like 4 years into the league urlacher,

Point is, I'm always intrigued by athletes on the bench, I personally like when the time is put in the weight room and film study. You want a player who eats, sleeps, breathes, and lives football and all aspects to bring the best out of him.

When I watch those OLine struggle with 225, to me it's kind of pathetic.. And I would think WRs and CBs should be around 15 reps given 225 usually weighs more than them..not always does gym strength translate to the field, and field strength to the gym, but it's a pretty good indicator..

Mike Adams of the Steelers wants to be an Elite LT, I liked his technique at the Senior Bowl last year, but benching 225, like 12 times and weighing 300 plus pounds is pathetic. Does it mean he's lazy, unmotivated, or just not gym strong? I wonder how much scouts, personnel, and coaches hold the weight room into account? My guess is not very much..

Bench is a poor indicator of playing strength, leverage and technique plus natural strength equals field leverage to move people. The weight room stuff should be to hone their natural abilities. When you get some guys who under perform the position average on any skill you have to go back and find out why. The scouts already have a weight room report from their strength and conditioning staff in college. It tells them what kind of dedication they put forth and what attitude they have while working out.

If the report says he lifted 225 12 times last year, and he only lifts 8 in Indy you have to go find out why. However, someone who lifted 12 but hits 22 in Indy you really have to find out if they are pulling a Brian Cushing workout regimen

It's all about getting an accurate assessment of who they really are. That is because most of them are all lying about stuff somewhere. Especially in the combine preparation portion of stuff.

Jonathan Banks ran terrible a 4.69.

Rev's boy Robert Alford ran a 4.41.

Honey Badger with a 4.43.

Dwayne Gratz with a 4.41.

Because Te'o got flat out owned by Alabama. It was such a bad game you could combine Champ and Moore from the Baltimore game and still not be as bad as Te'o was. So he needed to impress in Indy.
