Time to have some fun. I'll get things started off here. Post a unique carving. The more unique the carving the better. The more unique the material is even better. So don't throw up a swan carved in ice. That's too generic if you know what I mean.

I've never really understood the appeal of bacon. I mean, it's a tiny 1/4 inch wide strip of meat and the rest is complete fat. You might as well just cover that turkey with a nice half inch layer of lard and sprinkle some bacon bits on top, it's the same thing, lol.

Bacon ......... they put it on hamburgers and wrap it around steak to make them taste better ........

I'm going to agree that it is a bit overrated, but it is pretty awesome. It has a ton of flavor - good flavor - and a seemingly endless amount of applications. Just yesterday we were in a donut shop near our place they were sold out of the donuts with bacon. It is pork, so it's cheap and easy to find, has a lot of flavor and can impart moisture, aromatics and delciousness to any number of food products.

I always love how they manage to show almost every bit of meat in the package through the front plastic. Then you open it and you're like, for real. It's like 20% meat and 80% fat. If you can dodge the grease popping and trying to burn you, the reward is 20% meat and 80% fat. For those content reasons, I don't eat bacon that often but when I do, mmm mmm good.

You are missing the excitement of the cook. The reward makes it taste that much better. I know you are asking, "How can you make bacon taste better than the euphoria I already experience when I rip off a piece of thin sliced pork?"

Just because.

Trust me on this. Eating Spotted Owl or Bald Eagle taste much better after you killed it instead of it being handed to you on a plate.
