It's the same number as his $6M base salary. Williams served two NFL suspensions in 2012, appearing in only seven games and starting just one. We'd look for the Broncos to cut ties with Williams as soon as this week.

Unless they move DJ back to MLB and start him there, I don't see him on the team next year.

Someone like Chicago would be sure to swoop in and pick him up the minute he gets cut.

Vick can't stay healthy in a traditional pro-style offense. He'll be lucky to make it through 5 games in Kelly's offense.

I wanted the dude when he was released from GB, not sure if he's too old for us or not, but he's a great 4-3 MLB. Maybe great is a bit of a stretch, but IMO he's still playing at an above average level.

They have Nick Roach playing SAM They have zero depth at LB.

DJ has played mike for us before, no reason they couldn't ask him to move back inside just like we would ask him to do if they don't cut him.

well it should be fun to watch anyway! As for Vick's health, he's just got to protect himself better. I think he will benefit for the pistol as it will keep the defense guessing on whether he is gonna pass or run. If he runs (and we know he will) he's got to get the yards he can and get down or get out of bounds.

Hmm.. I thought Briggs had extended or something and was still playing decent. If they need to get a WLB and MLB in the same offseason, I could see them going for a vet like DJ, I guess.

Any team that wants to build around DJ as MLB, though... well.. good luck with that.

This whole Chip Kelly thing has fail written all over it. I liked this quote:

And as for the quote, I think that's a bit overboard. How many Oregon players have gone on to become anyone in the NFL? The guy wasn't stacked with talent compared to some of the big dogs yet was still in the mix every year. If he could get that out of role players, imagine what he can do with NFL talent.

He might not but I'll definitely say I'm excited to see what could happen.

Brigg's play is falling off. He can't rush the passer anymore, is still solid against the run but he is getting burned in coverage. Roach was Urlacker's backup but they needed a SAM so they moved him there. Roach should not be starting, they are hurting at LB. DJ would be a stop gap who should be cheaper than Urlacker and even if they signed him cheap they need the depth, he would be an excellent backup for Briggs. I don't see teams passing DJ over just because of the Wizz, hell Vick just got a new deal!
