So much for all the righteous bluster after the Deepwater Horizon accident.

Then after the dust settles, he quietly brings back deepwater drilling and offers up federal-owned waters for sale. GOD I love liberals. |

I don't care that its Obama doing it. Not going to talk **** on it. I am just happy anytime a sane decision is made on energy. Next up he will approve the Keystone pipeline route and that will be built.
I just wish he would let coal fired plants operate more so we could get cheaper electricity. Exempt them from the CO2 stuff and make them focus on particulate matter etc etc. |

If it happens, you can bet bottom dollar the network talking heads will ignore that Obama backtracked and opened up deepwater drilling to the highest bidder.

Kind of different in that case: Jed accidentally finds oil under his property and an oil company buys him out and leaves him wealthy. In that, they fulfilled another Hollyweird cannon fodder role: The backward, unedcuated ignoramus white southerner hillbilly, complete with all the stereotypes and snide comments from the educated, modernist Californians who talk down to them on a regular basis over a track of banjo music. And there is the irascible granny with her backward ways and her (bitter) clinging to her gun. The corporate villains in this case were another predictable one: Capitalist Pig Bankers.

I just want at this point for Obama to make some decisions I agree with. The election is over and no reason really fighting it out on who gets credit for something, or blame etc. I hear he's going to approve Keystone, these are repub issues we wanted so we should be happy Obama is doing it. I do agree though if Romney had won, and then opened up the gulf to drilling, the left would be going insane right now. Instead they will mention it, say they are unhappy about it, but move one. It's ok though i hated medicare plan b but didn't really dwell on it much. The main thing is though more oil is good for our economy. Maybe Obama can buy some energy credits like Gore did and make it ok for the greenies. |
