I live on a beautiful lake on the edge of the Ozarks, where there a lot of retired baby boomers. There are plenty of Doctors in the area but if you are dependent solely on Medicare and without a Medicare supplement it's difficult to get quality care.

They say "the doctor is not taking any new patients at this time" or "we can schedule you in 6 months", knowing that no one will wait six months. What they are really saying is we don't want you as a patient unless you have excellent insurance. They do not want to go to battle with Medicare to get paid. |

Forbes
How Obamacare's $716 Billion in Cuts Will Drive Doctors Out of Medicare There are 600,000 physicians in America who care for the 48 million seniors on Medicare. Of the $716 billion that the Affordable Care Act cuts from the program over the next ten years, the largest chunk—$415 billion—comes from slashing Medicare’s reimbursement rates to hospitals, nursing homes, and doctors. This significant reduction in fees is driving many doctors to stop accepting new Medicare patients, making it harder for seniors to gain access to needed care. Here are a few of their stories. http://www.forbes.com/sites/aroy/201...t-of-medicare/ |

The CBO has stated that over 7 million Americans will lose their healthcare coverage when their employers find it more profitable to just pay the fine instead of their portion of their employees health care insurance. |

Under the law, the penalty for not buying health insurance is supposed to be capped at either the annual average Bronze premium, 2.5 percent of taxable income, or $2,085.00 per family in 2016.
So basically if you can't afford Obamacare, you'll have to pay a fine..... What's so hilarious is half the nimrods who voted for this socialist president have no clue as to what the hell they just did to themselves. |

this will drive those employees previously covered by their employer to go on the government dole.....forcing a single payer system. Once that happens the government can then control your life because practically everything you do is health related......your job, your lifestyle, your recreational activities, your diet, etc. The big problem is that your healthcare will be part of the national budget, which means it can be cut, reduced on a whim. For all you liberals who voted for this kind of ****...keep in mind the day will come when the Dems aren't in power...and then the Republicans will be in charge of your healthcare. Then what the **** are you gonna do? Like they say, careful what you wish for.... |

Imagine when your government has everything to do with your healthcare....it becomes part of the budget, which means when they argue over funding for the schools, or funding green energy projects, etc....they will also be arguing over what and who will and won't be covered.

If you really want to understand the ACA, put away the spin, turn off Rush, and read the data.
http://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/fil...ageEffects.pdf 27 million Americans insured for the first time. Period. http://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/fil...eEstimates.pdf Deficit reduction of 109 billion. Period. Now you may return to your oil-tycoon-funded media. |

Or what the USA could do is push more medications to a behind the counter, but doesn't require a RX and allow PHARMACISTS to be an entry point into the healthcare system thereby decreasing costs in the millions of dollars......if you travel overseas you'll often see that this model already takes place... |

Nobody here has addressed the IRS figures given. Indeed, the beginning of the article has a direct link to the IRS document. The figures mentioned come from page 56 of that document. So.... ? Anyone? |
