Hey man, I forgot to reply to your PM. Where are you flying out of? Makes a world of difference.

No worries dude. Planning on flying out of Chicago though we could swing Minneapolis. I'm living in Northeast Iowa and she's in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Here ya go. Some good tips. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/how...are-2013-01-28

I did two weeks in Kauai this past summer. Stayed in Hanalei, South Shore and at the Marriot Beach club Lihue-Check this place out for sure. Great place to end your trip as it's a free couple minute shuttle out of there. Beach is sweet.

I found some great private condo deals on www.vrbo.com Great condo on the south shore. Would have to dig for the name but very reasonable and an awesome place to snorkel outside your condo. Shoot me a pm if you want more info on anything.

That is a great question, I don't think he had a lot of free time to do much flying after he joined NASA but he was a test pilot and fighter jock before that. I envision him teaching the Blue Angels stuff.

He flew an F-86 Saber so I see him flying some hopped up P-51 or homebrew plane that has a bomber engine modded into it. Something fast. I don't picture Gene dropping into a lake to fish or camp for the night then fly out.

I always was in awe of the common pilot who flys into these tiny airports to have breakfast or attend some fly-in event. Rich or poor it is always good to have money.

Make sure to use incognito mode when buying tickets. Sites will bump up the price when you come back the second time. Incognito mode keeps them from tracking your cookies.

Cheap flights that are non-stop. When I fly home I have used this Airline every time. While being cheap almost every flight has been delayed that I have been on. Maybe I just have bad luck.

Allegiant and Frontier have absolutely impeccable deals on flights, but I don't think they go where our homie Philbacka plans on flyin'.
