He is a great athlete. He just happens to be older, slower and more injury prone than the other great athletes.

I talked to Urlacher at a wedding last summer and actually asked him about playing in Denver. He said he loves the atmosphere there but said he's a Bear through and through. Said he's seriously consider retiring if it came down to not being a Bear.

We already have Urlacher, but he's called Brooking.

I dont see him in another uniform. I think he'd retire, before playing for someone else.
Would rather see us get younger at MLB, but it is looking pretty thin in the draft this season. Maualuga could be on the short list |

Urlacher is probably the most beloved athlete of all time in New Mexico. He's one of my favorite non-Bronco football players.
That being said, If his can milk another couple of years out of his knees, I'd be shocked. Probably pass at this point. |

Nope... nothing to see here move on. Let's get young and athletic at the spots we need! Like a YOUNG MLB, a YOUNG slot WR, another YOUNG CB. That way when PM decides to hang it up, we don't have to blow up theh whole roster. If we are going to develop Brock and the team, we have to develop our OWN talent. Thought that was the idea behind picking Brock. If we are only striving to have great team during the Manning years then why pick Brock? Better yet, lets trade our pick for a few impact veterans, or sign all the FA Dinos that once managed to taste football glory but have to use crutches from the bed to the bathroom.

1) He can't get off blocks any more 2) He is inconsistent. One play he will fall off a RB but the next play he will power through a guy forcing him into the RB and taking the RB down. 3) He can still come up with an INT and score, something I don't remember Brooking doing. 4) He is a liablity in coverage, they moved away from their traditional Tampa 2 because they could not cover the seam anymore. 5) He hates the fans, not sure if he is a locker room cancer, the D players never say anything bad about him but there is a division in that locker room between the D and the O and I think Cutler and Urlacker are the reasons why. 6) The way he rehabbed his knee last time was odd. There was a story I heard on the score about him having his blood spun or something and he had some alternative med guy try some type of voodoo on it or something that didn't work. He is an upgrade from Brooking but not sure if he is worth the risk. Maybe after a full offseason of rehab he can comeback and get another year or 2 out of his body. I don't think he is going to go back to Chicago, If he is willing to just play somewhere near the Vet min then hell yes but if he wants to get one last payday then move on. |

I personally would be ok with bringing in Urlacher, and then in round two, drafting Reddick and may the best man win.

After the way the Defensive players reacted to Lovie's firing I don't think Melton will stick around, I bet he goes on a FA tour.
Melton was Lovies pet project and it took him a couple years to blossom into the Tackle he is now. Lovie hit on this guy, he saw the talent and stuck with him even though the local media guys bashed him for it. If it is a Win Now mentality at Dove Valley I would wine and dine this guy ASAP. He is still rather young and he is a dynamic presence inside, maybe not a guy you put in to occupy 2 blockers but he can beat double teams and push the middle of the pocket. Melton is what I hope Wolf can turn into one day. |

He could always keep Moreno company in the whirlpool, bike and training room. I hear it gets lonely sometimes.
