When is this website getting fixed?

It seems that this website is getting worse. It used to be that when I created threads or replied to posts that it would time out and give you the no data sent page but now even when I'm just browsing to this site main page I get that, and often. It's been super slow for almost as long as I can remember.


I thought I saw Taco mention there was something in the plans for upgrading this forum. When do you think that will be. I love coming here and discussing Broncos topics but it's getting to be very frustrating and I know alot of other people must go through it also because I see double posts about 10 times a day.

Maybe I'm the only one having this issue, but the site keeps randomly logging me out, sometimes after I've literally just successfully logged in only a few moments before. it's been constantly happening for the last month or two.

I love this place, and TJ deserves lots of thanks, but since you brought it up I agree that the performance has been painfully slow the last several weeks...

The timeout errors and lag have been going on for a while now. TJ, how much money does a brother have to send so you can upgrade to the newest VB software and make this look more ballin'. Change up the design mister!!!

I've noticed it myself. It's been particularly bad during the last week as our traffic has been spiking. I've already started working on some database optimizations. I'm preparing to move the site to the newest version of the software. They're currently in beta, but I'm expecting them to have their gold release in the next 60 days. I'm doing everything I can right now to iron out the issues were having.

I notice nowadays, and not just with this site, that if I look at the bottom of my screen while waiting for a page to load I'm seeing things like "waiting for googleleads", "waiting for facebook", "waiting for image.whatever"

Hitting it twice (post) seems to work but of course it gives you the "This is a duplicat epost from the last 5 minutes" line. It speeds it up but glad to know it wasn't my computer.

If this gets to 3 pages, Bronco Buff will chime in with a hardcore Mane Drive to donate to get this thing running at normal speed. WIth this in mind, every newbie that signs up pays $1. Keeps spammers out and veterans get the benefits on the rookies. Also, if you get banned, you owe a $1. Except trolls like KCDud. He would need to pay $50 each time.

One thing I found is that clearing my browser cache has sped things up for me here. Not the cookies, just the cache. Not immensely, but noticeably.

During the game I was trying to post in the gameday thread and there were 5 minutes that I couldn't get in. I cleared everything, it was better but I would still get "no response from server" or huge delays after posting.

I figured it was volume related but I do get timed out a lot on normal days, including today.

The Manes version of vbulletin is 3.51
The newest version is, I believe, 3.80

3.51 is at least 5 if not more yrs old.

We're actually using 3.8. That is just a static graphic you see there. I prefer not to advertise what version of the software we're using to throw off the hackers, and by the licencing agreement with vBulletin, I have to have the "powered by" tagging there.

You must have something bottlenecking you somewhere because it does seem unusually slow.

I have all of the above issues save the strawberry pop tart.

On at least three different devices iPhone, iPad and iMac. On at least four different IPs.

The one thing that is the worst is either getting not response or a double post all within a minute of each other.

I see the buttons and drop-downs selects were finally fixed in Chrome, so that they weren't collapsing and having the text stick way out!

TJ and I have sparred many times on here, but I still tell every Broncos fan I run into about it because it's the best Broncos site on the internets.
