Very athletic for a guard. Great hands. They are like mitts. Good feet. He can pull like a a SOB too. Would fit in great with the offense we run w/ Manning.

Big at 6'5", 252, but carries his weight very well. Not afraid of blocking and has ELITE athleticism at the TE spot. Will be a big weapon. Reminds me a lot of Tony Gonzales coming out of Cal.

He's raw as a WR, but has great size, and great ball carrier vision. In fact, he's got some of the best vision i've seen from a skill position player since Chris Johnson came out. Not the exact same home run speed, but this guy will be a major threat for YAC on the next level. Builds up to his top gear but is jittery and can put the shake on folks. His size makes him a potential impact player on all downs and in the red zone. You can also run reverses with him as well.

Look, i love Champ Bailey as much as the next guy, but lets face it, hes lost a step and its finally time. He was literally TORCHED on Sat. and no, the pass rush as an excuse just isnt gonna work. Hes been getting lit up more and more, and not just this season. Its time for Champ to move to the Charles Woodson, hybrid Slot CB-FS position. He's still a great tackler, and can cover TEs well. He's physical, and would be at the LOS alot more, making teams have to account for him on blitz pro, and this would allow Miller less double teams. He would play less snaps a game, and this would keep him healthy and faster and he could be used as a pure CB due to an injury in a pinch.

And with that, i think 28 should go to either,
Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
Height: 6-0. Weight: 190.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2013): 1-2.
12/15/12: Poyer has played really well as a senior. He had a great start against Wisconsin. Poyer had three tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a pass broken up to help the Beavers upset the Badgers. He had three interceptions against Washington State. Poyer missed the game versus Arizona State with a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The senior came back to play against Stanford, but had a mixed outing.
Poyer totaled 46 tackles, seven interceptions, four tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, one sack and seven passes broken up in 2012. His pass coverage was extremely good but he needs to improve his run defense.
9/1/12: Poyer has been an impact player for Oregon State the past few seasons on defense and special teams. He had his best year with 57 tackles, four interceptions and 12 passes broken up last season. The junior also averaged 22.7 yards per kick return and 14.1 yards per punt return.
Poyer had 34 tackles, two interceptions and four passes broken up as a sophomore in 2010. He averaged 27 yards per kick return and 9.5 yards per punt return.
Poyer has steadily improved his coverage as a cornerback and could rise up higher with a strong 2012 season. He is a good athlete and played some baseball for the Beavers before deciding to focus on football. Poyer is a talented prospect with upside.
Multi-talented athlete with extremely good ball skills. Hes always making plays in some capacity, and can learn from one of the best. DEN needs a new true, shut down corner.

12/15/12: Rhodes passed what will likely be his biggest test of the season against Clemson. The redshirt junior didn't play a lights-out game in coverage against the Tigers' dynamic duo, Watkins and Hopkins, but he was solid and kept either of them from big plays when he went against them in man coverage.
Florida State mixed in zone and man assignments, so Rhodes did not have to go against Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins exclusively in man coverage. Hopkins had 88 yards on five receptions, but 60 came on one touchdown reception against zone coverage where the safety failed to pick him up running down the field. Watkins had 24 yards on six receptions. Rhodes finished with three tackles and a pass breakup against Clemson. The redshirt junior has totaled 35 tackles, seven passes broken up and three interceptions, but teams have mostly avoided him.

Rhodes had an interesting conclusion to 2011. He was matched up against Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd and put together a phenomenal tape for NFL evaluators. While providing blanket coverage against Floyd, one of the best receivers in the nation, Rhodes went down in a multi-player collision in the second half. He sustained a knee strain and was held out of the end of the game. Prior to Rhodes' injury, Floyd had only three catches for 22 yards.

Against Floyd, Rhodes showed the ability to match up with an elite receiver. Floyd couldn't beat Rhodes with speed or size. He is a good run defender who is capable of putting on some nice hits on ball-carriers.

Rhodes is a big time player, and with Milliner and Banks in this draft, DEN could grab him or Poyer at #28 and get an immediate starter at CB.

In short, homer fans who just dont want to deal with the simple fact that Baliey was TORCHED multiple times this year and last, and excuses from homer journalists who dont want to deal with this glaring fact will only make it worse. Go with BPA early, hopefully it's a CB or MLB. It's doubtful it will be RB, so draft a couple of RBs in the middle rounds. I'm not a big fan of drafting RB in the 1st round anyway.

If it's me, i'm looking WR in the 1st round if Patterson is there. Guy is going to be good. If he's not, I'd look at Eifert. If both are gone, i would look at Cooper. If Cooper is gone, I'd start looking at defensive guys.

Nothing against defensive guys but I think we can find some guys who will sign up in FA to play those roles. I'm more interested in giving PM as many weapons on the field as possible.

HB looks pretty deep this year. Could probably get away with waiting until round 2-4 easily this year. Hell, Bell from Michigan State is supposed to be a 3rd day pick. Unbelievable. I really liked watching that guy.

The simple fact is, that Bailey as well as the rest of the secondary benefitted more from Von Miller than any goofy stat that a homer journalist can provide.

Von Miller doesn't cover Champ Bailey's receiver for him. A good pass rush certainly helps with coverage, but it's a symbiotic relationship. It works both ways. Miller had his share of coverage sacks.

At some point in time the Broncos do need to consider getting a top notch replacement for Bailey in the future. He can still play at a very high level, but continues to get older. What I saw from him on Saturday was the worst football I think he has ever played since he has been with Denver.

Chris Harris is legit as our # 2 and Tony Carter plays well enough to be a reserve corner on this team. I'm not sure how good Bolden will ever be, (and hope he wasn't hurt too bad in the game) but we could definitely use another guy in that mix. Obviously the team felt they needed it and got Tracy Porter, but that didn't really work out now, did it?

We just don't have any big time players there down the road and it never hurts to have more depth. Doubt Rhodes will be there when we are picking, unless someone takes Banks over him. Don't really matter though, this draft has a lot of great depth at cornerback and if we do want an upgrade there, we can find guys after the first round who will be good players.
