With Joe Flacco's nice performance today leading the Ravens to their playoff victory, I started thinking about how Flacco seems to be emerging as a big-time postseason qb. Remember last year, if Lee Evans secures that ball, Ravens beat the Patriots and go to the Super Bowl. (Flacco clearly outperformed Brady that game)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkgFqvJUqpg Next week poses an interesting match-up, as Flacco, who clearly has capable skills, can he continue to step up his postseason performances against a Broncos defense that leads the NFL in sacks, and has a very good secondary. I am so looking forward to next weeks match-up. I like Flacco, but not enough to wish that he doesn't get creamed by WMD! |

If today's game was Flacco stepping up his performance, we should have a very easy time next week.

You answered your own question. Flacco did not face a good D today, nor against the Pats last year.

Stats are misleading. He won't be able to throw jump balls to Boldin through triple coverage against Denver's secondary. He basically burned a guy that couldn't make Denver's roster. A gap pressure mind ****s Flacco. Pretty much any sort of pressure and he folds like a yard sale tent.
That Von Miller guy is going to have a huge game on Saturday. Something tells me the best linebacker in the game isn't going to like the non-stop Ray Lewis, T-Sizzle slobberfeast that's going to take place this week. |

Isn't he usually good at home? Too bad he's not playing us at home.

12/23 for 282 and 2 TDs. Most of his yards came on a nice piece of running from Rice and a couple Hail Marys. That against one of the worst Ds in the league. I'm causiously very optimistic. Only way they pull out a win is if we have a -2 or more in the turnover department.

Ravens D gave up 419 total yards to the Colts.....but kept them out of the end zone.....they'll give up 30+ points if they allow 400+ yards to Manning and Co.

If we contain Rice and watch deep ball we'll be fine.
