Possibly a high 2nd but there's no one with a low 1st that needs a QB...

That's for a QB that had 3 years of experience and proven himself amongst the coaching staff.

Kirk is still a rookie, but I wouldn't put it past a team trading two 2nds.

The thing is why not keep him under control unless someone gives you 2 second rounders or goes crazy and potentially gives you more.

I know. That will prolly always be an issue but I think if he can get a good return he should flip cousins while he is hot to help get some picks back.....he can keep drafting QBs in mid to late rounds to develop a backup like he did with cousins

I actually think they will start to pick his spots running and make that transition.

RGIII is a great pocket passer. I would rather they use the Steve Young/Jake Plummer type bootleg offense like they did with Cousins.

They will eventually morph into that. This was all about doing whatever it took to win and let's face it that pistol offense with RGIII as the decision maker is damn near unstoppable.

Turner thrives on a ZBS, McDaniels moved to power blocking. McDaniels proved to be a total personal disaster with other assistant coaches we had (e.g. MIKE NOLAN). Pretty much every holdover coach we had from the Shanahan era ran for the hills (Washington, Houston) when the opportunity arose. If you think that promoting Bobby Turner was the only thing that got him to the Redskins, you are kidding yourself.

They ain't trading Cousins. Shanny drafted him because he knows RGIII is going to be hurt now and again, and that's exactly what happened. Your backup has to be competent when you have a tiny dude running around as your number one.

There is no offense that is unstoppable.

I personally don't think this offense can handle a physical defense...will be exposed with either Seahawks or Niners.

I'm soooooo glad Dallas lost! Living here and listening to everyone talk smack all the time, this week will be pretty enjoyable!

Can't wait to listen to The Ticket (AM 1310) and hear them rip into Da Boy's and red headed Jesus!

This was an excellent weekend for me, capped by the Cowboys loosing!

They got the Seahawks in first round. Although the Seahags do not play well on the road.

True, I think Bobby Turner would be more comfortable as a fit in the ZBS but I think McDaniels knew his talents hence why he wanted to keep him.

Do the research...Mike Nolan is a head case in his self. He's never found a constant home yet he's able to produce a competitive defense.

I don't know the exact coaches that left, but there are two completely different systems and ways of coaching a football team from McDaniels to Shanahan. Shanahan coaches a soft football team.

So, they probably left to go to teams that fit their comfort zone better. The system and culture that is currently in place in Denver could never be attained by a coach like Shanahan.
