Denver NEEDS homefield advantage.

Denver 13-3 in the playoffs at home.

Denver 3-9 on the road in the playoffs

Not wanting homefield advantage doesn't make sense.

As #1 seed Denver would likely face Baltimore or Colts and then they would face either Texans or Pats.
As #2 seed Denver would likely face Pats at home and Texans on Road.

Clarification - the playoff brackets reset after the first weekend, right? So, the #1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed between the 2 first weekend winners, right? Or do they always play the winner of 3v6 / 4v5 regardless of who the lowest remaining seed is?

Pretty sure the highest seed always plays the lowest seed.

Yes. This is correct.

Due to today's results, Denver's next game will be against Baltimore, Indy or Cincy.

It can't be against the Pats since they will be hosting their own game.

It can't be against the Texans, because if the Texans win in the wild-card round, they would be the highest seed to come out of that round and Denver is guaranteed to play the lowest seed that advances.
