Western Kentucky and Central Michigan play in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl at 7:30 PM Eastern Time tonight.

Eric Fisher, offensive tackle, Central Michigan will be the best player on the field in that game.

Fisher (6'7 and 305 pounds) should be a 1st round draft pick as a left tackle.

Good athlete with excellent foot work.

I'd guess that he gets drafted in the same vicinity at the last Central Michigan OT to go in the first round (Joe Staley, 28th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft).

I don't care what team you are a fan of this is truly in the Christmas spirit. I did tear up at this. Son surprises Dad (Bama fan) with tickets to BCS game. Definitely heartwarming.

How's karma working out for you, kid? Maybe leaving your Mom in tears on signing day wasn't the greatest idea of all time. Have fun working at McDonalds a year after you sit on the bench (again) ini Columbus.

I'm also hearing Boston College as a potential landing spot. What is your source? Hasn't he had an injury plagued career?

He was supposed to be a great OL but was perpetually injured and I think at one point got moved to the other side of the ball. Even when healthy, he never made any real impact. He also accidentally shot himself...somehow.

I guess it was a blessing in disguise that he didn't follow his father and uncle's footsteps to Miami (his Dad was the starting LT on Miami's 1987 national title team and his mother's brother also played at Miami). On signing day, when he chose Florida over Miami his Mom openly wept in grief. Before signing day, he also made some disparaging comments about the program as well.

I'm glad his career has been a colossal failure and I hope it continues that way. One more year of college then "paper or plastic?" time. ****ing traitor.

I actually wouldn't mind if he went to BC. That way we could take him out next year. Chickillo...go take out the trash.

Yep....that was very cool.

My dad passed away a little over a year ago and it's still tough. It makes me happy to see a son and his dad enjoy a moment like that.

Paul Johnson at Georgia Tech has reportedly hired former BC Head Coach Frank Spaziani as DC. That's a good hire, Spaz is a good defensive mind.

Oh and SSJ my condolences to you on the passing of your Dad last year. That sucks.

BGSU is only about 20 miles south of where I live.

They are Toledo's big rival, but I root from them to do well, as well as all the other Mid-American Conference teams.

USC spent most of 2012 being accused of failing to show up on the field, so it was only appropriate Wednesday that it literally failed to show up for its hosts at the Sun Bowl. In a metaphor for their disappointing season, the Trojans arrived more than 90 minutes late for the "Sheriff's Posse Dinner," by which time their miffed opponent in next Monday's game,Georgia Tech, already had left.

By Thursday afternoon, with the story making national headlines, the Sun Bowl offered an explanation on its Twitter feed, citing the Trojans' practice location across town.

The dinner is usually one of the more anticipated functions leading up to the Sun Bowl game itself, during which players from both teams perform skits, impersonate coaches and so forth. According to the L.A. Daily News, the Trojans were "delayed by practice and a possible injury." Photos of the empty dining room began making the rounds on Twitter after Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson decided his team had waited long enough. There have been no further details on the injury report.

Coach Lane Kiffin -- no stranger to committing faux pas or apologizing for them -- was forced to open his first Sun Bowl press conference on Dec. 6 by making amends for a series of tweets from senior linebacker Tony Burnett, who had responded to the invitation a few days earlier by writing "Georgia Tech!? El Paso, Texas!? New Years Eve!? FML" and "if you never seen a real life giant tumbleweed get ready." (In Twitterspeak, "FML" is shorthand for "F--- my life.")

Having failed to learn from that episode, freshman defensive end Leonard Williams tweeted on Wednesday night, "Out here in El Paso. ****ty city but glad I can enjoy this moment wit the USC family." That missive was quickly deleted, and replaced with another apology on Thursday morning: "Sorry about what I said last night. It came out wrong. I'm so grateful to be a part of this bowl and looking forward to a great game," Williams wrote. "I was saying I'm just proud to be here with my family. ... Duke leads Cincinnati 31-27 in the early 4th in a barnburner at the Belk Bowl. David Cutcliffe was very deserving of his ACC Coach of the Year honors and I'm rooting for Duke to hold on so our conference can represent halfway decently this year.

The Holiday Bowl between # 17 UCLA and Baylor is starting in about 10 minutes. I think this will be a very enjoyable and exciting game. I expect the Bruins to prevail behind strong efforts from Brett Hundley and The Mayor. It will take all of 3 minutes for the win to go to 24champ's head.
