Manning is preparing himself for colder games down the road in January. A possible trip to Foxborough and Denver's low winter temperatures could mean chilly playoff conditions and Manning wants to adjust for such conditions now.
By forcing himself to wear a glove on his throwing hand when it is unnecessary, Manning avoids the possibility of being thrown off in the postseason in the case of cold weather which would prompt him to sport handwear. "I was just wearing a glove," said Manning, who plans out every detail and dissects every possible bump in the road. http://b.bm324.com/public/?q=ulink&f....UNuI1w.SvS8RQ |

This scenario reminds me of when Mick made Rocky box right handed because he didn't like Southpaws. Maybe Peyton will plan on ripping the glove off in the 4th quarter and unleashing his awesomeness.
On a serious note though, I wonder if he'll play with it through the whole playoffs regardless of location, just to keep a rythym. |

Kurt Warner wore gloves for most of his career because he preferred to regardless of the weather, indoors or out.....didn't seem to bother him or his accuracy.

And yet his eye still got eviscerated and he barely won a round until the 15th. Yet the media whitewashes Mick's poor strategy that almost cost Rocky the fight and deify him as some all-time great trainer. Damn media.
Incidentally, it's interesting how after the 2nd fight with Creed you never hear about Rocky's eye issues again. |

Mick was overrated... all that nonsense with chickens was a waste of time. Rocky won in spite of him, not because of him.
Duke was a much, much better trainer. |

Manning leaves no stone unturned.
Anybody remember the 1995 Cheaps-Broncos game in the snow when Elway couldn't throw the ball THEN tried to play with a glove? God, that was ugly. |

Right now, somewhere in Denver, Peyton Manning is in a deep trance.

the cold dry air also affects the grip on the ball. you may have noticed visting QB's licking their fingertips when the play here. Elway also used to rub his finger tips just before he snapped the ball on pass plays. Phill Simms pointed all of this out during the 1998 AFC championship game.
