Default Broncos emerge as favorite to win Super Bowl; Patriots ranking second

Las Vegas believes in the Broncos.
The latest odds have been posted, and the Broncos are now the favorite to win Super Bowl XLVII, according to vegasinsider.com.
Thanks to a 10-game winning streak in which they have outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 points, the Broncos are listed as 3-to-1 favorites to win it all Feb. 3 in Peyton Manning's hometown of New Orleans.
The New England Patriots have the next-best odds at 7-to-2 followed by San Francisco (5-1), Atlanta and Seattle (6-1), Houston (7-1), Green Bay (8-1) and Mike Shanahan's Washington Redskins (20-1).

I want Broncos/Seahawks but in reality just to make it and whoever the opponent maybe. We owe the 49ers too.

Off subject but pertains to betting Seattle(11-4) and Denver(10-4-1) have best record ATS this year which is a sign of a good team. Of course the line of the website effects the bet. A surprise team ATS is ST LOUIS RAMS at 10-5.

Here is a good article reasoning why:

http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/story.cfm/story/1348601

Factoring in stuff like.. no rookie QB has won a SB (sayonara Indy, Seattle, Washington and Miami), no team in the history of the SB has won it after losing by 28 or more points in December (bye Texans and Giants), and only twice has a team come back to win a SB after losing it the previous year (seeya NE).

If you eliminate the above, you have left: Denver, Atlanta, Green Bay and Baltimore. Longshots are Dallas, Pitts and Chicago.

And they are betting it will be Denver (4-1) and Green Bay (6-1) in the SB this year.

Pittsburgh has been eliminated from the playoffs so take them off the list

Oh.. well, teams being eliminated from playoffs have a much lower chance of winning the SB!

well if some sort of apocalypse happen and pitts and some other scrub teams remaining then they have a shot at the super bowl even kc if they are spared from some sort of disaster that wipes all the good teams from the face of the earth . it could happen

#Broncos have won 10 straight games with each win by at least 7 points or more. They become the 4th team in #NFL history to do that.

Just think if we didn't lose those 3 games we'd be 15 and 0

A funny thing is confidence. A team that rolls feels they can roll - and even when they hit harder opposition, they can play to their level and still win. So it really doesn't matter who we play I think. If the team thinks they can beat anyone, they can. Just look at SF. They felt they could beat NE in NE, and they did. But the Seahawks felt they were on fire the last few weeks, and they obliterated poor SF. Is Seattle that much better than NE? No. They would probably lose in NE.

As long as the Broncos really feel they can't lose.. they probably won't.

All this really means is that too many people were betting on the Broncos with the lower odds. That's really how the oddsmakers work. This isn't about whether or not they actually believe we will win it. It's about maximizing their profits.

The Broncos can beat both Houston and the Pats. Yes, they lost to them earlier in the year, but that was when the Broncos were still trying to "find themselves" and were still trying to get used to a new offense and defensive system.

The Packers are the team that looks the strongest in the NFC at this time, though Seattle is looking quite good. Their defense may be the fastest in the NFL.

It would never be the Raiders because their stupid fans will always put their lotto money on them to win the SuperBowl.

Broncos are the least flawed team in the league.

Offense, Defense and Special Teams all very solid. It doesn't always translate to a SB, but I'll take my chances.

Least flawed, yes. GB and Seattle are playing just as well right now.

Yep. GB is very NE Patriots like; the way to beat them is to get to Rodgers and throw him off his game, otherwise you are screwed just like you would be when you don't get to Brady.

Seattle is tough to play against right now, but I don't think they have the cache yet to go on the road. At home, I will take them against just about anyone.

If the redskins do clinch the NFC East and 4th seed this weekend, I would rather they face Seattle in DC than say face the 49ers in DC. I just believe more in the 49ers despite them getting smoked in seattle. If it's @ seattle, then it changes everything but I'll take my chances with hosting the seahawks as opposed to the alternative of 49ers (should they lay an egg which I doubt; they will clinch the NFC West this week).
