Anyone else think we got totally ****ed this year? @Atlanta, @NE, @Balt.
Also, I'm nearly positive they front-loaded our schedule (which is bull****), because they didn't expect Manning to make it through the Season. Pats then get their hard games at home. Just a thought. |

Honestly it's a business and I don't blame them for front loading the schedule. But it really ****ed us over. I think we win AT LEAST 3 games if we play Balt/NE/Houston/Atlanta spread out and not bunched at the start of the season.
Also, another thing to watch. Patriots games, the bad calls happen in the first half, then they don't need anymore. |

That's why it's gonna be sooooo wicked, brah, when the Broncos so savagely beat down the Pats (@Foxboro) in the playoffs that there's nothing they can do about it. I'm talking Von Miller's sack-strip-fumble to Champ's INTs to Holliday's KO return for a TD to PFM's four TD passes. Booyakasha!

There's clearly a conspiracy. Somehow they knew several years ago, when the schedule came out, was already locked in, that we would win the division, ensuring the tough matchup and they also divined we were going to sign Manning and tried to screw us with a schedule by pre-setting it this way.

Yeah, the Patriots sure don't get alot of tough road games. They seem to get a good handful of decent teams each year but hardly any real nutbusters. I can't remember the last time anybody thought the Patriots had a demanding schedule. For a team that usually has 12+ wins every year, that's pretty silly.
(I left out division games because you play away and on the road the same teams every year, duh....and the bye week) 2010 Cincinnati Bengals Baltimore Ravens @ San Diego Chargers Minnesota Vikings @ Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers Indianapolis Colts @ Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears Green Bay Packers 2011 San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders Dallas Cowboys at Pittsburgh Steelers New York Giants Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles Indianapolis Colts at Washington Redskins at Denver Broncos 2012 @ Tennessee Titans Arizona Cardinals @ Baltimore Ravens Denver Broncos @ Seattle Seahawks @ St Lous Rams Indianapolis Colts Houston Texans San Francisco 49'ers |

When you only have 5 non-division away games each year, it's pretty hard to have a ton of tough games. 2 or 3 tough ones is average and they had Seattle and Baltimore this year. Doesn't get much tougher to play on the road than those two.
And, given when the schedule comes out, there's only so much you can do. Who knows who's really going to be good and bad. And you can't predict injuries or just outright team implosions. The reason NE always seems to have such an easy schedule is because of their division. The other three teams, outside of 2 good years from the Jets, have sucked hard for the last 10+ years. Add to that the fact that at least one or two of the teams in whatever NFC division you're playing are probably going to suck, and that's half the season right there. |

Its better for us. Pats and Housten won't know what hit them in the playoffs. brady will be on his back pouting like a child wondering how Miller got to him so fast, so often, so viciously! Oh man that would be so sweet. I love watching brady lose and get all pissed.

I don't think there is any grand conspiracy beyond $$. TV wanted those games, but they wanted to be sure Manning was playing. It makes total sense, even if it turns out to be a pretty big disadvantage.

They argue that having an easy schedule the rest of the way allowed Denver to get in rhythm. Also consider the Chargers, who usually play better later in the season, were off our schedule by October. And we got the Chiefs at home in December, when usually we have to go there and lose. They didn't know the Chiefs were going to suck. We got Tampa and the Saints at home, a crappy Raider team on our short week on the road, and now the Ravens with ten days off. That's pretty favorable. I would have liked to see the "hard games" later in the season, but it is what it is. Everyone said we had the hardest schedule in the league in preseason. I said over and over the schedule looks different after a few weeks of play than it did in March. We had a tough first few games, came out 3-3, and then got the easier part. I think the schedule had some tough elements but it has some elements that really helped us. So I call it a wash. I don't believe the cigarette man made this schedule to destroy us, though. |
