Default Prater

Surprised this hasnt been talked about more. Anyone else concerned with Prater? This season for him is eerily similar to 2008 when he tailed off towards the end of the year because he was admittedly fatigued. He started missing more kicks around week 9. This year week 10.

Cant really afford missed FGs in the playoffs.

I'm not. It doesn't look like a mechanical problem. He's just barely missing. It'll come back around.

Wasn't worried after the first few games he missed some, but I am starting to worry a bit more now, it's the 40 to 49 yard range that he's always struggled.

I am. Brought it up in another thread but not many seemed interested in discussing.

It hasn't been discussed because kicking is like your golf swing. When it goes out of groove it's not something you can talk about. Sometimes, you can't even figure out what's going on. Everybody is different. You just have to do the necessary work to get the groove back. I'm sure he's on it.

It's almost like Fox should take delay of game penalties for anything between 40-49. Under 40? Money. Over 50? Money. 40-49? Who knows.

He has the yipps right now for sure. He has a lot of curve on his kicks right now. I hope it is just a rough patch.

I think after the Orton/Tebow years, Prater is not used to us scoring so much that he has to kick xps and kick off that many times each game. He needs to build up his endurance over the off season.

But in reality - f'n kickers.

Prater just needs a couple strippers on each goal post pole dancing then he should feel right at home

Right now, do it! Turn the hat backwards. Turn your hat around. Do it, Matt! Take this tee and stick it behind your left ear.

What do you think you look like shooting chili peppers up Lee Janzen's ass? Do it now or I'm going to quit. I swear to God I'll quit. Good. Take this ball and hit it up the fairway.

I heard on the light rail that was the exact problem. He was bangin' some nappy hoes and got him some crabs - real bad-like. Balls swelled up the size of grapefruits and threw off the motion of his kicking leg.

Ball swelling is going down, situation normal.

The one miss against the Chiefs or maybe it was the chargers looked like a 20 handicap 50 yard sliced tee shot.

Modern kickers are so good technically, that slumps like this are mental. Look at Mason Crosby, he was an above average to excellent kicker for 5 years with the same time and only recently has started to suck. Just hope Prater snaps out of it.
