Default Which situation would you rather have?

The only reason why I ask is I still hear pro-McDaniels rhetoric from some of the board from posters like baja, PaintballCLE, McDMan, lonestar.

Just yesterday PaintballCLE typed this regarding McDaniels:

but ill tell you what....... some team is gonna take a chance on him again... (maybe KC) and u watch when it comes back to bite us in the ass.

My point concerning Josh McDaniels is he left us with some good players. This is in response to the all good / all bad style of thinking by many on this board, sometimes bad people do good things and sometimes good people do bad things. It's not all black or all white. Of course I am glad his cheating ass is gone. Once The scandal came to light I was happy to see him go. At first I thought it was a mistake to fire him with 3 games left in the season but when it became clear he was involved in spygate II it was a no brainer.

McDaniels' offense was unstoppable if he had the right pieces. The way he designs plays is second to none in the NFL. He uses picks to get receivers open on bubble screens and does some of the most creative play designs. McDaniels can beat any defense with the combination of routes he uses to flood the zone.

LMAO.......... the bubble screens were the extent of his offense. he was horrible on ever facet of the game outside the first 6 games he coached in Denver.

I'm grateful for McDaniels because his failures led to Elway getting hired and being able to draft the next defensive player of the year.

I not gonna lie I was worried as hell when I saw Von down on the field and Greek was bending over him all concerned looking.

Speaking of injuries what is the report on Wesley Woodyard's injury?

I supported Josh like I have every Broncos coach....I thought he did some good by getting rid of "me first" players like Cutler and Marshall, and bringing in more "team first" and trying to infuse youth and speed onto the team. He drafted some of our starters who are playing very well now, like Beadles, Decker, Thomas and he drafted decent back-ups who have helped our team overcome some injuries like Ayers and Moreno.

He obviously in hindsight was in over his head as a czar type of coach with absolute power....but I do wonder what might have been had he and Cutler and Marshall been able to co-exist...or having failed in that endeavor, had he stayed around to develop Tebow, because in my opinion Tebow threw the ball better as a rookie with McDaniels tutoring him than he did last season.

In the end, things happen for a reason....he's gone, and Bowlen learned from his mistake and hired the right guy for VP, who hired the right coach, drafted the right LB, and signed the right QB.

given the choice of more years with mikey or going with Josh, that is easy to answer..

IMO Josh started to do what this team had needed for a very long time..

a total rebuild.. could he have done a better jobs absolutely but he was saddled with a dual GMs.. one of the more stupid things that Pat and Joe have ever done..

Had they given him a real NFL Experienced GM to help him out getting the players he needed, I suspect things would have had a different outcome..

Now I'm perfectly happy with bringing John E in, although still a bit concerned with Fox as the HC.. Way more conservative than I prefer..

If Manning had not shown up this year what would this Offense look like?
3 runs and a punt always setting up field position..

I'm glad he dumped cutlet and BM because frankly I'd hate to see what this team would be like today..

also ran's getting excuses, because our offenses were good between the 20's just like before..

never could we have made any progress..

wondering what might have been two and a half years ago is nothing like saying

"I'm done with this team after 41 years, if they sign a 40 yr old QB and dump Tebow....this franchise is classless if it does that" - Baja upon hearing Tebow trade rumors after Broncos interested to sign Manning
