I don't think the NFL should cancel the game, but I do think that kc should be incouraged by Goodell to forfeit the game. This would give kc a loss and carolina a win. This would solve a lot of issues that a cancelled game may cause. JMHO.

Better yet, declare it a scoreless tie -- as another poster said, they're both out of contention, so what does it really matter.

It seems needlessly cruel to make the Chiefs play tomorrow.

My heart breaks for that little girl. Not only growing up without a dad, but knowing that your dad killed your mom would be such a heavy burden to face as an adult.

Really think the Chiefs should forfeit tomorrow. Honestly, I think their fan base would probably prefer that they not play the game. I know if the Broncos were in a similar situation that's how I'd feel.

Chilling article I just read on SI.com about it. In front of Pioli, Crennel, and others this guy took his life. Scary how one could feel so low he thinks he has no other choice. Just aweful. Thoughts and prayers going out to his family, his girlfriend's family, and all involved.

Cancel the game. This is a work related issue, therefore, cancel work tomorrow. Don't care if its the office or the NFL. You can't force people to go to work tomorrow.

1. The game is in KC. If it were in Carolina, their fans may cause more of a fuss over a missed game. KC's fans are in a way connected to the tragedy. I remember how i felt waking up and reading about Darrent Williams on the ESPN bottom line that morning. Like a huge punch to the gut.

2. Both teams are out of playoff contention. A cancelled game would have no implication on anything important, really, outside of fantasy stats.

With all the criticism that the NFL has taken lately, Goodell specifically, this is their big chance to do something that reflects well on them. It's a homerun, with no downside other than missed revenue and Charles' loss of fantasy points, which is hardly something to bend to. If they had the game, i doubt he would play anyway.

There is only one reason for them not to cancel this game, and that is money.

Do the right thing, Roger.
How much you want to bet this game is played as scheduled tomorrow??

Unfortunately, I think you're right further proving that Goodell is not human. People need time after s**t like this. If the Chiefs were to say we can't do it I wouldn't fault them at all.

What the heck is wrong with people. I can't imagine doing or seeing that. Especially with an infant you are now leaving parentless. I just looked at my 7 month old and 4 year old and the thought of what would happen to them if we were suddenly gone makes me get chills.

Why on earth did this guy feel e need to do all of these acts in front of people? I can't imagine the damage this guy did to the people he made witnesses. Guy makes me sick. But my heart goes out to his family and the families of all the victims including the the KC staff and police. Selfish people like this guy make me sick.

This. I'm not really sure how people think its okay to make a joke when an innocent young woman just got murdered and a 2 and a half year old lost both of her parents.

I really hope people stay classy on here.

My thoughts go out to the families involved and the Chiefs organization & fans.

It may be fun to poke fun at the Chiefs, but there should be no joking in regards to this sad situation.

I think what people need to understand is that most suicides are due to a bipolar condition and that condition is a biological event.

Truly a tragedy. Condolences to the family and prayers for that woman's family and the baby he left behind. And prayers and thoughts to the Chiefs and all those who witnessed the events. I can't even imagine the trauma and fallout from this. Peace to all.

Sounds like maybe some lovers quarrel murder/suicide ....Alas, a tragically permanent solution to a very transitory problem.
Unfortunately as we are discovering with young soldiers and marines, age is not a factor. Repeated brain trauma can lead to some very bad things if not treated correctly or recognized early enough. This is sad story especial when you consider the innocent lives affected by this event.

Suicide is. Murder suicide is something different. That's bringing an innocent victim into it.

This will not heal quickly for all the principles involved. So many lives touched by such a quick selfish act.
