If you want to see picks, decisions, etc that made the Raiders or the Broncos go back to when Elway almost went to the Raiders. Instead the Broncos got him and now he is back to make us a competitive organization again. For the Raiders, it all came down to Al Davis and his piss poor, egomaniac decisions. Who knows, they might become more competitive now that he is gone.

Would Aaron Rodgers be the Aaron Rodgers we know now if the Raiders drafted him? He sat three years and studied the pro game. He'd probably have started as a rookie with the Raiders.

Well, if they would have gotten Fitzgerald then they would not have drafted that early the next year so the theory goes out the window. But it does show you repeated misses over and over. Funny ****!!

OAK got 2 1sts and 2 seconds for Gruden. And drafted Phillip Buchanon, Langston Walker, Tyler Brayton, and Jake Grove. |

If Aaron Rodgers were drafted by the Raiders he'd probably be out of the league by now. Those 3 years on the bench behind Favre were invaluable.
Or imagine the 2nd rounder Montana being drafted by the Bucs and having no Rice or Craig or Walsh. Or imagine Brady going to the Lions. He probably ends up their starter but no way does he have the success he's having now with Belicheck. Thats what helps Manning's case when you're talking about the Goat IMO. Same with Elway. It just seems like those guys created the system and culture and wernt brought up in it. |

I agree with Cache Glades. Does Rodgers starting behind that crappy line with Art Shell's tutelage kill his development? There is something to be said for players being put in the right situation. Does Arian Foster get a chance if he doesn't go to a great rushing team with a coach who has seen low round backs blossom?
