The MAC Championship Game is on at 7 PM Eastern Time on ESPN 2 tonight.

I love me some Toledo Rockets, but #21 Northern Illinois and #17 Kent State are the best teams in the MAC this season....should be a well played game between two teams that have brought it all season long.

The MAC is an underrated conference that plays some good football.

In addition to Northern Illinois and Kent State, Toledo, and Ohio University both had a cup of coffee in the Top 25 this season.

Nice to see two teams in the Top 25 from the conference at the end of the season.

As for tonight's game, I'll predict:

Northern Illinois 34

Kent State 27

I wonder how much longer the Stanford coach stays. I could see him moving to the NFL or SEC program if thing work out right.

Jordan Lynch, QB, Northern Illinois is tearing up Kent State, just like he tore up the rest of the MAC this season.

Coming into tonight's game, Lynch had 2,750 yards passing with 23 TDs and 4 INTs. Lynch added 1,611 yards rushing and 16 rushing TDs.

It's early in the 4th quarter and Lynch already has 169 yards passing with a TD and an INT, plus 163 rushing yards and another TD on the ground.

Add in the bowl game, and Lynch will have well over 3,000 yards passing and has a chance to rush for over 2,000 yards.

That's pretty fly for a white guy. Lynch isn't a pro prospect as a QB, but he sure is a damn good college QB.

A few weeks back, he was a one man show that Toledo couldn't stop. Lynch threw for 407 yards with 3 TDs passing in that game and ran for 162 yards. In the 3rd quarter alone, he threw for 296 yards.

I could see Nebraska winning the game, but I think Wisconsin will pull the slight upset by giving Nebraska an all day dose of Montee Ball.

I don't know if they can give him the ball much more then they did the first time we beat them. 32 carries is a bunch.

Montee Ball and that offensive line have gotten stronger and more productive as the season has gone along:

Northern Illinois and Kent State going to a 2nd OT.

Tied up 37-37....one of the better college games I've seen all season.

I would rather see them run with Ball then pass the ball to Abbrederis who killed NU the last time they played.

I don't really have a rooting interest in either team tomorrow.

It's one of those games where I'll go in wanting to see a good game and will figure out who I'm rooting for as the story of the game progresses.

#21 Northern Illinois beats #17 Kent State 44-37 in 2 OTs to win the MAC Championship Game.

Great game....been nice to see Kent State win because they usually don't compete for titles with the big boys of the MAC.

The last time Kent State was in a bowl game was 1972....Jack Lambert and Gary Pinkel (TE) played on that team.

The head coach of Kent State in 1972 was legendary coach Don James.

Good game. Once again, Stanford just wears down their opponent.
