well now that i think of it yes he is millionaires dont hire people to work as in all of em but i ask you who owns walmart ,king soopers ,safeway , almost every business around. shure there is small businesses that aint millionaires . but most businesses are run by rich people. they hire people to hire people nationwide to over see state and then local and then store managers who then hire people to hire people then that person hires people to work at a store. therefore rich people ,granted not all of em hire people to work for them.
therefore i am right and again LABF gets the following

Yep the English professors, cartoon boi and grammar cops are probably to busy here to do their real jobs.

I have been a lot of forums and the ridicule here is more than all the rest combined.

I have often seen things misspelled or words used incorrectly. Knowing that even meaning it well, embarrassing someone publicly really does nothing but make them an enemy. So 99% of the time I send them a PM or rep message FYI it should be their instead of there.

Most of the time they are appreciative, but I find about 90% of our liberal morons give petty responses in return. So I have stopped sending them tips.

I know that all of my posts are no longer 100% grammatically correct, for many reasons, mostly because I do not give a rat ass anymore what these morons think. All of the other forums I have been on I take a lot more time in my postings, because they are/were quality forums.

I also find that using an iPad helps to exacerbate words being changed from time to time, yes I know the function can be turned off, but frankly Charlotte I don't give a damn.

Keep up the good fight against the DUMOCRATs ignorance. Just maybe some of the will grow up (mature) into responsible adulthood.

You and Lone Nut and the rest of the short bus passengers are completely missing the point: It's not about shopping at Wal-Mart - it's about your tax dollars subsidizing Wal-Mart's employees.

How can folks who are fundamentally opposed to "handouts" support such a thing?

So far, no wingnut has answered this question.

Grayson: Walmart is ‘the largest recipient of public aid in the country’

By Stephen C. Webster
Tuesday, November 27, 2012 8:46 EST

Representative-elect Alan Grayson (D-FL) said Monday that he will put mega-retailer Walmart squarely in his sights during the next Congress for the company’s liberal use of public assistance programs to supplement their workers’ wages.

Speaking to Current TV host Cenk Uygur on Monday’s episode of “The Young Turks,” Grayson called Walmart “the largest recipient of public aid in the country,” saying their low wages force workers to take food stamps, housing assistance and Medicaid just to get by.

“The taxpayer pays for the earned income credit,” he said. “The taxpayer pays for Medicaid. The taxpayer pays for unemployment insurance when they cut hours down. And the taxpayer pays for other forms of public assistance like food stamps. I think the taxpayer is getting fed up of paying these things when, in fact, Walmart could give every employee its got, even the CEO, a 30 percent raise and still be profitable.”

He added that while the health care mandate in the Affordable Care Act will help, “that’s just the start.”

“In state after state after state, Walmart employees represent the largest group of Medicaid recipients, the largest group of food stamp recipients, and taxpayers shouldn’t have to bear that burden,” Grayson said. “It should be Walmart. So, we’re going to take that burden and put it where it belongs: on Walmart.”

Those employees would be unemployed if not for Walmart. So the amount of public aid would just go up if Walmart was targeted. Specifically what special govt tax breaks do they get, that other companies are not using. I am seriously asking i read all your posts but they don't get specfic on what loopholes Walmart uses to get public money or tax breaks to build and run these stores? You know tax breaks stores like Kmart or Target don't get? Because if playing field is level then you are just punishing Walmart for being big. You are saying their employees need the most food stamps, but is that because they have so many employees, or there % is higher then Target?

Lets say they gave more employees full time. Wouldn't that just mean they would then fire a bunch they no longer need. Hell I worked for Bank of America they kept me right at 32 hours for a long time to avoid giving me bennies. It happens all over. Is Walmart worst then other companies or just bigger?

I fail to see the story here. The welfare-to-work tax credit has been in effect since Welfare Reform was implemented in the late 90's. I can guarantee you Walmart is not the only company to take up this opportunity nor are they the only one's to keep wages and benefits minimal. There are multiple companies, including Marriott. At least these people are working.

I, for one, would not pay the workers at Walmart any more money than they are getting. Having the worst customer service, per a survey of national companies, says it all. Yes maybe the company doesn't train them in this but it is something that is common sense. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that when someone asks where something is located you don't just walk by and point.

You are dead on about tax credits, and IF the government is offering them they would be plain stupid not to take advantage of them..

like so many of the progressives on here would not take free money.. ahahahahahaha

Our customer service here in ELP is not so good.. but almost all the other cities I have shopped in most of their employees bend over backwards for great service..

I actually refused to go into their older stores as they were to cramped, but as they built the superstores there seems to have loads more space in them..

The service is still not at great level in town but that probably has more to do with not being Hispanic than everything else..

I have never been in a Walmart where there was ANY customer service. I'm not sure if your reference to the Hispanics is that is the majority that work in your stores but in ours it is an equal part of nationalities, including white Americans. And they are all equally oblivious.

where I live the work force is about 85% hispanic as the shoppers are about 95%..

The one closest to my new home is just 6 miles from Mexico port of entry so we get loads of Mexicans coming over to shop.. they have better pricing here than in Juarez walmarts...

now going up the OKC or into Kansas and Nebraska the folks there are super helpful..

30 years from now we will be having this same discussion about a big solar company, one that is getting most of its money from tax credits, and the liberals will all complain about it then too. Get the friggin government out of business, get it back to protecting borders, at home not over seas, and doing things its supposed to do and not everything else.
