I put that on ball. Trindon was going to play the bounce and the ball just died. Lance decided to just jump on it and fumble around with it instead of letting trindon pick it up. You could see trindon yelling at ball a little after the play too. I'm fine with lance playing it safe, ESP the way we are with balls on the ground this year, but I still think lance is the one who is more to blame. But yes, his first game or so with us he was a little happy with the ball. Now though, he is pure sexiness! |

I love that this was his quote after the game:
Added Holliday: "We had that problem last week, but I thought I got the ball across the goal line. I'll have to go back and look." As if this is some sort of challenge. Like the goal line hides itself. New idea. Screen Forrest Gump for him and have the home crowd tell him when to stop |

Another good game for Holliday. I'll gladly continue to eat crow on this one.

It's so nice having a speed threat on ST's. Now we need one like him at slot WR spot

It is nice to have a return threat for once.
I was wondering if kFc fans enjoyed getting the dainty and Vanover treatment in their house. |

he might be a crappy route runner though. honestly would put him in the backfield and use him on some screens and end arounds too. |

Why anyone else is out there fielding kicks is baffling. I almost cringe when I see Leonhard out there. He's a tough player but his KR days are behind him.

He has much better hands than Holliday. Plus Holliday also is in the habit of lettign the ball bounce when he should be fair catching it. I like it when they put Leonhard in near the goal line when there is a 90% chance it will be fair caught or bounce into the end zone. Holliday can do the returns from outside the 20 yard line.

Let him return the kicks where he has the room After all , his fumbles were the reason why HOU let him go because the other parts of his game is All Pro ish |

I see nothing wrong with using Leonard when it will likely be a fair catch used closer to the goal line and then Holliday when a return is the likely outcome of a punt. In fact, I think pretty smart by the coaching staff.

I noticed that Leonhard is generally out there when there's a chance the kick will land inside the red zone....he's generally got reliable hands and rarely ****s it up by trying to return the ball deep in our territory. Meanwhile if there's little chance of the ball landing inside our 20, I've noticed Holliday is generally out there, because he can deliver a huge play if the blocking develops |

Holliday was back on one punt that he fair caught inside the 10 that he had ample room to run; almost like the staff told him fair catch it no matter what. Can't remember if it was before or after Leonhard bobbled his fair catch.

Interesting theories. Hopefully he can give the staff some confidence to put him back there all times. It's disheartening to think we'd settle for lousy field position for any reason.

Except about the only successful screen pass we've had all season was the TD to Thomas against PIT. Usually they end up dropped or the WR gets minimal yardage.

He did not fumble today. But they were still grabbing at his arms on returns.
Nift little guy lets hope offseason he puts some muscle in the upper body to ensure he does not put it on the ground again |

We have had a few such as Thomas against Raiders until he fumbled. Couple other were TD's if Thomas or Decker could catch the freaking ball. Those plays usually set up other plays.
