Great news for Baja....his guy will finally get a second chance
![]() In a move that should surprise no one and fix nothing, the Chiefs are going to start Brady Quinn at quarterback this week against the Broncos. Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel announced the move today, via Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star. This one was pointed Quinn’s direction anyway, after he replaced Matt Cassel at halftime of last week’s loss to the Bengals, a game he didn’t start because he was cleared from a concussion late in the week. On Monday, Crennel said the Chiefs had to be perfect to beat the Broncos saying: “That’s the only way we have a chance.” No pressure, Brady. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ter-this-week/ |

Quinn always struggles hugely when pressured - this game should be excellent for our secondary with Miller and Dumervil making Quinn nervous the secondary should ready themselves for some errant throws.
I like Harris and Champ to both get a pick in this game, one of them going in for 6. |

I know it seems like we should just destroy this team but damn if I just have a hard time ever being too confident at Arrowhead in November. They just always seem to play us tough no matter how ****ty they are.

He never got a fair chance!
He's played on bad teams! He played for the Browns! He was really good at Notre Dame! His brother in-law is good at football! He drinks a lot of protein shakes! He's handsome! Never say you're done! |

I've been around long enough to know that you can never take a game for granted - especially against a divisional opponent. And you don't have to be around a long time to know that. Just look back to last year's season finale.
And yes, the game is at Arrowhead. But this Chiefs team is really awful. Historically awful. Prehistorically awful. I just can't seem to get myself worried about it. |

It seems that some people are forgetting that we made Quinn look like the next coming of Elway when he played for the brown's. He has it in him. I'm not saying that we lose the game but we shouldn't be laughing as if they are just rolling over because of their decision to start Quinn.

Quinn's Last Stand
1. Quinn's Tebow revenge factor 2. Chief's revenge factor for losing out on Peyton Manning 3. Chiefs hate Broncos so much they will rip our helmets off syndrome 4. Arrowhead home-field advantage 5. Pioli/Patriots hate/revenge factor for firing McDaniels 6. Divisional rivalry 7. Patricide/Infanticide syndrome 8. Chiefs historical fail year vs. Broncos amazing turn-around syndrome 9. David vs. Goliath complex 10. Desperation syndrome 11. Caged-animal syndrome 12. Back-against the wall syndrome 13. NFl's leading pass-rush vs. Instant-Concussion Poser Boy 14. Angst of not having won a playoff game since 1994, while in the midst of worst season in franchise history 15. Chiefs fans shooting other Chiefs fans in the face 16. Realization that even with the 1st pick in the draft, you get sucky QB syndrome 17. Chiefs fans realization that they had no hope in the past, present, or future This ought to be epic. This will delight all the Bronco fanboys who insisted Quinn should be absorbing reps while Tebow was trying to develop.
Drink deeply, Quinn fans! Behold him in all his glory! |
