This is insane, Oklahoma is so backwards, This highschooler got in a DUI killed the passenger, the best part, the boy has been attending church regularly his whole life so Church actually already shaped who he has become. Maybe try something new?
http://www.christianpost.com/news/ju...0-years-85071/ I love to see how the Constitution thumpers, there is plenty of reason to keep church and state separate. Quote:

Meanwhile this judge is probably molesting people in his family. Go figure.

So it's kinda like ordering Broncos fans to mandatory viewing of every Broncos game over the next ten years.

Maybe you'd just prefer he go rot in jail though? The family of the victim certainly doesn't. |

amazing how the bullet points go out for the progressives.. sometimes they forget to add pertinent info like going to jail instead.. so much less sensational.. Also sad people just do not get that some places/states have a higher moral standard than others.. |

Awesome logic there. How 'bout this - the government isn't supposed to get involved in anyone's religious habits and there is zero evidence to support that simply attending church services does anyone a damn bit of good. So instead of giving a judge carte blanche to dictate the daily habits of someone else's life that has no legitimate rewards maybe we take a step back and have him do all the wonderful proven rehab techniques sans-Christian zealotry? That sounds a bit more in line with the Constitution now doesn't it? Or better yet, have the judge and DA both disbarred for willfully violating the FIRST AMENDMENT. |

1st Surrounded by the same community that has gotten him to this point already. 2nd The other things you bring up as my having "left out" (ankle bracelet) are very common punishments in america and quite common, it is so standard why would I take issue with it? I didn't leave it out because I think this guy got a light punishment. I think he got a strangely religious punishment. 3rd. Government can force me into religion? Lonestar and You immediately jump to a conclusion that everyone who doesn't think this kid should be forced to go to church therefore thinks he should rot in jail for life?! Drawing conclusions on your own there. I believe the law should be enforced as it was drawn up, nowhere in the law does it say if you do something wrong you will be forced to go to religious services. If you feel church is the only community for him there, I would challenge that there are tons of other communities including the normally used AA. I think you two would have big problems if the judge had said, well you killed this guy and to make make it so you are surrounded by better people we are ordering you never to attend church for 10 years. If he made an order AGAINST religion Lonestar would nut himself. Next time either of you "defend the constitution" to support your argument, remember that time you didn't. As far as religious places being the most moral. I guess that is what YOU think they are. Unlike in your perfect little world of absolutes, religious places have humans in them and even though they strive for morality, they still have imperfect folks in them. Now if you want to use a perfect example of this reverend wrights church that nobama went to would be right up near the top IMHO. Most knew he was a phony Christian, but then y'all liberals took the hook, line and sinker. I have football to deal with today so take all the snarky little shots you want I won't be back. since most of the political experts on this football forum are a joke any way. |
