Bama or Georgia in the title game if Stanford can make a FG (which is far from a given).

Wait, if ND loses next week to USC could we be looking at another all SEC title game? Who would be BCS #2 after the winner of SEC title game??

Alabama plays Georgia in the SEC title game. Winner of that will play ND (if they beat USC). If ND loses they probably play Florida or LSU. Again.

****, if Nebraska had found a way to win that UCLA game they lost by 6, they'd be in the picture. Granted, Ohio St has the biggest regrets in all this, as they may be the only major conference team to go undefeated, but won't be eligible because FREE TATTOOS.

ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Win out and it is another National Title game. Sorry but Oregon and K-State just aren't as good as any of the top SEC teams, esp Bama. Hate it all you want, but if you want the SEC out of the top 10, then these other conferences need to find a team to beat the best the SEC has to offer. |

I'll call it now: ND loses to USC. Florida loses to Florida St. Georgia loses to Alabama.
This leaves 1 loss Oregon, 1 loss ND, 1 loss K-state, 2 loss LSU, 2 loss Texas A&M to pick through for the #2 slot against Bama. I think voters will go with a team that only has 1 loss, so it comes back down to Oregon, K-State, ND. The Wildcat's loss was just too ugly, a true disqualifier. Oregon still gets in if they beat UCLA in the Pac title game. Conference champ > independent ND. If UCLA beats Oregon, we go back to a ND - Bama game. Whew. Chaos. |

Michigan is 14-0 at home in Brady Hoke's first 2 seasons.
They lost a total of 11 home games the 3 season before that. |

This is exactly what happened two years ago with Nebraska playing Washington in the Holiday bowl, despite being in the middle of a home and home, leading to that same matchup 3 times in less than 12 months. |

So, to modify my earlier position, I think ND is in really good shape. Win next week and obviously they're in. Lose against the Trojans, and they still have a reasonable path if Florida loses to Florida St, right?
