The OM posting rules are posted on the Announcements forum... have been for a number of months.

Well I've already got a small contingent of liberal posters here who insist I am some guy that used to post here and keep referring to me as him, so I think the Reid thing will be quickly forgotten.

One thing in the rules is vulgarity. I got banned for getting into it with rho and saying silly things like twatmouthed because he called me asshead or something. So it become semantics on what is vulgar or crosses the line. My point is that mods are not unbiased and treat posters they dont like differently then others. Starting a thread saying i hope this person dies in a car crash, maybe ban worthy. But responding in a stupid thread about a fender bender, saying i wish he died in it, doesn't seem that bad to me. Everyone knew it was just a joke.

You're free to believe whatever you wish regarding the existence of moderator bias... however, the conclusion you reach very well could be (probably is) incorrect. The reason some posts receive moderator attention while other (perhaps similar) posts might not could be as simple as: one of the posts was reported; the other one wasn't. This is particularly true of posts in WRP.

There is a substantial precedent here on the Mane for banning those who wish death on others, whether it's suggesting that another poster commit suicide or expressing a wish to see thousands of rival fans killed or injured in a tragedy at their stadium or for a politician to have expired rather than to "just" be injured in a traffic mishap. If posters have been banned for it in the past, then it's reasonable to expect that a ban will result any time it happens.

It's too bad Nyuk Nyuk gets to dance on the line without penalty or warning.

Actually Nyuk Nyuk has just returned from a 2-week "timeout".

Good idea - seeing as how he's a representative of the "values" and "personal responsibility" party and all of that...
