I would love to see Oregon vs. KSU for the title.

Looks like I missed a good 4th quarter and OT.
Michigan comes back to beat #24 Northwestern in OT 38-31. |

Nice to see Alabama go down....Nick Saban looked like he caught a fresh whiff of dog turds after the game.

I swear if there are two undefeated teams and Bama still gets to the championship game, that **** is rigged. I already know it is but there's nothing substantial to prove its rigged but that would be blatant.

Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel has put up some impressive stats for a freshman.
I'd seen some highlights of him and heard him being talked about, but he obviously caught my attention today with A&M beating Alabama. 2,780 yards passing with 18 TD passes and 6 INTs. 1,014 yards rushing with 15 rushing TDs. |

SoCal's Updated Top 10
1. Oregon- Struggled in teh first half, but really turned it on in hte second half at Cal. Mariota has been amazing the last two games in particular. Defense continues to be a concern. 2. Kansas State- Excellent defensive performance at TCU (who was ranked for much of the year). 3. Ohio State- They had a bye, but are the third best undefeated team, IMO. 4. Alabama- Luck finally caught up with them against A&M. They've looked vulnerablet he last two games, this time they couldn't stop Manziel. They still have a chance to reach the BCS title game. 5. Georgia- For some reason, Richt's Bulldogs have been under the radar this season, but they're a really good team. I thought earlier they would definitely get beat in the SECCG but I'm not so sure now. 6. LSU- Nice win against Miss. St. They're still smarting from last week though, I'm sure 7. Florida State- Barely escaped against VT due to Rashad Greene's catch and run. The Noles are a lock for the Orange Bowl. 8. Notre Dame- Another weak performance. A 15 point win at BC? Miami beat BC at BC by 9, so I'm not impressed yet again. This is 3 loss team masquerading as undefeated. 9. Texas A&M- Very impressed by Manziel's performance at Alabama. If this team had not blown some 4th quarter leads earlier this year, they would be in the national title discussion. 10. Clemson- Another big win for the Tigers. Outside of a terrible 2nd half at Florida State, they have been dominant in ACC play. (Note: Florida has dropped out of my Top 10, despite having just one loss due to two consecutive awful performances, the record doesnt matter, its how you play that matters).

Excellent Mid-American Conference game on tap tonight at 9 PM Eastern Time on ESPN 2.
Toledo (8-2) versus Northern Illinois (9-1). This game will probably determine the winner of the Mid-American Conference West Division. Toledo RB David Fluellen is a good prospect to keep any eye on. Fluellen has been very productive with 3 games of 200+ yards rushing this season. 230 carries for 1,381 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and 12 TDs. Flu is only a junior, so I expect him to be back next season. Toledo WR/KR/PR Bernard Reedy is a big play waiting to happen. 68 receptions for 901 yards and 6 TDs along with 3 additional return TDs on the season. Reedy is only a junior and should also be back next season. Toledo freshman WR Alonzo Russell should be a pro prospect in a few years. 6'4 and around 200 pounds. 44 receptions for 766 yards and 3 TDs. Toledo QB Terrance Owens isn't much of a pro prospect, but is a lot of fun to watch. Last edited by SouthStndJunkie; 11-14-2012 at 01:23 PM.. |

Denard Robinson is back today....but primarily playing at RB/WR with Devin Gardner at QB.
Devin Gardner is not the explosive runner that Denard is, but he has really opened things up in the passing game. Michigan is up on Iowa at the half 28-10. Gardner is 11/14 for 204 yards passing with 2 TDs and 0 INTs, as well as 2 rushing TDs. |

This scenario for Michigan is working out well....Devin Gardner will be the starter next season and is getting valuable playing time and Denard Robinson still gets to play out the rest of his senior season and will contribute with his biggest asset....his running ability.
This is also a nice way for Michigan to showcase Denard Robinson's ability to play other positions in the NFL. |

Michigan is up 42-10 and has scored on all six of their offensive possessions.
Devin Gardner is rolling right now. 17/21 for 294 yards passing with 3 TDs and 0 INTs, as well as 32 yards rushing and3 rushing TDs. I'm glad to see Gardner kicking ass....he was a 5 star prospect in high school and was stuck behind Denard Robinson his first few years. He didn't b**** about it, never thought of transferring, and even started at WR most of this season before Denard Robinson was injured. I do think it was a mistake by Brady Hoke of not having Devin Gardner as the backup to Denard Robinson earlier in the season when he was playing WR. When Michigan had to put freshman QB Russell Bellomy in against Nebraska, they got crushed. Bellomy wasn't ready to play and looked like a deer in the headlights. The next week, they moved Devin Gardner back to QB and have been rolling along well with him opening things up in the passing game. |
