This will be the 3rd meeting between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. The Broncos are 2-1 with Carolina winning the last meeting of the teams on December 14, 2008. Carolina beat the Broncos 30 to 10 and I am not sure what led to that but I am sure it had to do with sucking.

The Broncos increased their league leading fouth quarter scoring differential (+80) with their win over the Bengals. This is the best through 8 games since the 1970 merger.

John Fox ranks third among active NFL coaches with 92 overall victories since 2002.

QB Peyton Manning set an NFL record with his 48th career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter against the Bengals and has thrown for 599 yards with 9 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in this period.

LB Von Miller is tied for first in the NFL with 17 tackles for loss in addition to tying for second in the league with nine sacks.

K Matt Prater is banging field goals like he is banging......... well lets just say he is 9-9 on field goals this season. He is the most accurate kicker in Broncos history with an 81.8 percent (99 of 121) field goal record.

Tracey Porter on being held out:
"It's a coaches' decision," Porter said before leaving the Broncos' Dove Valley complex. "But I'm going now to get checked out. ... I feel good and hope to get back out there. But I think they feel pretty comfortable about the situation and the guys they have playing right now, and we're winning. "I just want to get back and get to work and see how it goes."

John Fox on Von Miller:
"He's becoming more of a complete player," Fox said. "Some guys don't work on their weaknesses; they just kind of roll around on their strengths. I think in his case, he's worked on some of the things he didn't do as much in college — that is mostly coverage and how he fits in to the cover scheme."

Danny Trevathan on emulating Woodyard:
"I started watching a lot of film on him to try to get my game to his level," Trevathan said. "Our styles are a lot alike. That's why we can play off each other (in the nickel). Wesley is a great leader, a great player to be out there with, especially with his enthusiasm and the way he plays the game."
